Be Careful with Virgo-Maria.org

Cosmas has posted some good stuff from the Virgo-Maria.org website, but readers should also know that it has a very poor reputation among the French Resistance, which tends to view it as a cross between TRADITIO and TIA for its propensity to publish stories on questionable evidence.

The link below would be but one of many such examples:

Again: There is also much good stuff there, but you need to sift it.

Sean at the bottom of the page where it says" more news " it opens to the articles i posted I kept going to the bottom of the page and clicked on" more news " for more interesting articles. Like you say , you have to scrutinize the stories.

And I, an American Catholic, should care what "the French Resistance" thinks about Virgo-Maria.org?  I actually think that Tradition and TIA speak a lot of truth, and reflect the current New Church situation better than most.  So, I imagine, a cross between the two online sites would be equally inoffensive in my estimation.
Hey, I find a good deal of the stuff published on CI is of "questionable evidence."

Sean, anything published online today needs to be sifted, as you advise, perhaps even, some of the things which you write.

Dear Hollingsworth-

Considering that you cannot read French, and are therefore limited to garbled Google gibberish;

And considering that, last I heard, you considered yourself Resistance, and therefore might have reasonably been expected to trust the nearly unanimous low opinion of the website in question by your brothers who speak the language and have many years of experience with it;

And in light of the MANY (nearly countless) cookoo-for-cocoa puffs posts to be found on VM (such as the thread link I provided, which displays a litany of them in a single thread) which are not merely overstepping the evidence, but habitually coming to conclusions without any evidence at all, I had hoped to save you from making an ass of yourself in front of the whole world, but alas was once again unsuccessful.

Yes, I agree that if you find TRADITIO anything more than irreverent humor, and TIA (which routinely posts bogus articles against Lefebvre) to be among the best sites out there, then it merely proves P. T. Barnum was correct:

“There is a sucker born every minute.”

Oh no, Incred is hitting the down-thumb button for criticizing TIA.

I had better pay them a compliment quickly, and pretend ABL celebrated the new Mass like they say!
