I agree. In the latest video, Father Hewko tried to explain the current situation and said this Bishop merely paid the seminary a visit and that they're still doing their homework on who this man is.
Shouldn't that be done before he ascends the altar there? To think this Bishop isn't who he says he is and he used that altar!
Catholic altars are for Catholic priests using Catholic rites. If any one of those items are lacking, that's a problem.

Catholic altars are for Catholic priests using Catholic rites. If any one of those items are lacking, that's a problem.

Not only that, you should probably finish your investigation before you introduce a possible schismatic to the world by providing video footage to people who run websites claiming to represent you. The priests of Boston, KY have used this excuse before -- 'well, that isn't really our website' -- but THEY are the ones who are feeding said website it's content. It's nice that the interview was recorded, but keep it to yourself until after you've finished your investigation.

Yes, they really need to be clear and decisive about it.

They can't kinda-distance-themselves-but-not-really-do-anything.

Either

A) stand behind the website, own up to all the content there.
B) Wage full-on war on those who attempt to run such an "unauthorized" website.

Why don't they threaten Pablo with exile (backed up by police escort) and/or threaten his (paid?) cooking job unless he takes down the website? Or kick him out with his video camera every time he tries to record material for his "unauthorized official-looking website" which he refused to take down as ordered.

I think this is more of the usual, "have your cake and eat it too" modus operandi. Whenever it suits them, they use the website (to attack Fr. Zendejas and Bishop Williamson, for example). But any time something scandalous happens, including with the owner himself, "it's not our website". How convenient.

Also, we've had this before: no apologies, no decisive action, just vague denials and distancing.

They are like a thief who "repents" of his crime, but refuses to give up the stolen goods. There is a way things work. If you are TRULY distancing yourself, or don't like this "unofficial, unauthorized website" you'd do more to fight it. If they don't do anything substantial, then they REALLY DO approve of it. It's a question of reality and common sense.

This video interview was made with an alleged Uniate Orthodox "bishop" from New York, whom few people know. It was conducted by Fr. Hewko. But obviously there was quite a bit of preparation involved. It was not put together over night. There was quite a bit of dubbed in video footage, showing mainly views of Byzantine-looking churches in various (Ukrainian [?]) localities. Winter conditions prevailed in most of these scenes. That footage had to be dug up from somewhere. Did "Bp. Ambrose" bring it with him when he came for a visit? Did Pablo secure the film footage somewhere and fold it into the software that he uses. ...?In other words- this interview was not put together on the spur of the moment, I don't think. It was a video production, a production requiring an amount of time to set up properly and coordinate.
Yet today, Sunday 9/27/15, Fr. Hewko gives us the impression that this man called, expressing interest in the seminary. They invited him for casual talks, and to get to know him better. They made no commitment to the "bishop," and as of today, anyway, Fr. Hewko and Fr. Pfeiffer were still not sure on what side to come down vis-a-vis this cleric.
But the video interview, which we must assume was made before today, was little more than a semi-slick promotional for a new bishop whom, it would appear, they have already decided upon.
Something about it does not compute. :confused1:
