Pax makes it sound like I was saying that Fr. Ringrose was anti-R&R/Resistance in the sense that he would not welcome R&R(Resistance faithful to attend his parish or receive the sacraments.
If you say one is "hostile to R&R" that could mean many different things to many different people.  I really didn't know what you meant but since you talked to Fr and he's not "hostile" but merely disagreeable or questioning, it stands to reason that this should be clarified.

Thank you for the additional post.  I just don't want someone to miss Mass because what they might think about Fr Ringrose, without investigating for themselves.  And there's plenty of people that would act in such a manner.  God deserves to be honored at Mass, regardless of our speculative theological questions.

  • That's terrible ... and far too common.  I would look into Eastern Rite liturgies for the Sacraments in your situation ... or perhaps a pre-Vatican-II priest offering a Motu Liturgy.  If you PM me your metropolitan location, I could look up some possible alternatives for you.
Sorry to respond to an old post, but what does Motu Liturgy mean?

    Motu Liturgy = Indult Mass.

Motu = Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificuм
