  • Using the Catholic Candle directory, Fathers Scott Settimo and Christopher Pieroni of the St. Thomas More Priory  were both ordained in the NO church. No indication they were conditionally ordained. The Priory link says that Fr. David Thomas services the St. Michael chapel. He was ordained in Winona

  • Huh?
The joke is that asking if conciliar-ordained priests have been conditionally ordained is taboo in the neo-SSPX

Oh, I didn’t know they are “neo-sspx”, I’m just asking on behalf of someone else that asked me about that church.

Yes, it was a joke, and they are "Neo-SSPX", which is a term for SSPX now that they've changed their orientation, a term that the Resistance came up with and which seems fitting.

Yes, the existing SSPX is generally labeled as Neo-SSPX.  There are some within SSPX who still have their senses about them (sympathetic to the Resistance), but the SSPX as an organization has gone "Neo".

I believe the chapel may have closed as Prior Toupee in Sanford, FL, bought a larger Church in Jacksonville. You may want to call the Sanford priory. Hopefully, they will take your call between fundraisers.

I doubt there are any sympathizers to the Resistance within the SSPX as the spate of secret consecrations have become such a joke within the SSPX based on what I've heard so far. Even sedevacantist groups didn't fall into such persecution syndrome to try to justify such secrecy.

I know a handful, mostly from the Bishop Williamson era in the US, who likely only didn't leave with the Resistance due to the uncertainty of what would become of them and because they didn't quite feel that the situation had gone into "red light" status ... but otherwise are not on board with any practical arrangement with Rome.  These have generally been relegated to positions where they have little influence.

We both know of these few priests in the SSPX.

So much of what passes for trad these days seems to be affective aesthetics.
