If one honestly doesn't even believe in miracles, why in the world be a Catholic, much less a Catholic Archbishop (and soon to be Cardinal!)? These types are always coming up with ridiculous lame excuses for why the bible, or papal statements, or Council texts, really don't say what they obviously say...

Just how bad is the theological atmosphere at the New Vatican when a archbishop espouses these kind of opinions and he's not being reprimanded or demoted or removed but prepped for a big promotion?

Over the last few days, I have started to come to the realization that the 2nd Vatican Council instituted a new ecclesiology that is distinct and in key areas diametrically opposed to the ecclesiology that could best be described as Traditional Catholicism and it's much deeper than just the changes in the Mass as so many posters here have pointed out these heresies or errors or, most vague and most charitably, mistakes in phraseology are not actually any of these things from the view of the concilliarists but are examples of the new ecclesiology.

For the purpose of this post, I define ecclesiology as how we relate to God and vice versa.  The novus ordo is now more into the cosmic "Teilehin" (I'm not going to google his name for the proper spelling - eventually I'll read his junk just to have a better grasp of the problem) and reading the intended bland statements that seem to flirt with heresy are just expressions of this new cosmic relationship.  Am I wrong in saying that in one of his books Card. Ratzinger said that if God can become man then man can become God.  And on a much lower level, a novus ordo priest gave a Christmas Eve homily where he never once mention Jesus, Mary, Joseph or anything related to the Nativity but merely mentioned that God and man mixed and sin was erased.  Before this novus ordo service began, some person making announcements said that tonight we are celebrating the Incarnation and I thought she was mistaken but she was expressing the new ecclesiology.

Many of these liberal bishops and cardinals continued to be theives and shut down churches and schools and refused to use FssP priests and bishops to fill the voids..  because they are selling churches and schools, relics, statues because of the sɛҳuąƖ abuse scandals.  Most dioceses are bankruptcy.  

They embrace modernism like liberals like  Mueller but the want the societies societies properties to pay off their sins of debt.

Instead of seeing the Truth and embracing true Catholicism which most novus ordo catholics truly want and need.

At least he is not one of those dreadful sedevacantists and does not have one of those awful schismatic mentalities!!!
