  • +Fellay announced yesterday that he intends to call in the society's chapter for electing a new superior general in a few month!!!!  :dancing-banana:
He explained that the society has been infiltrated by sedevacantists who are plotting evil to destroy Mgr. Lefebvre's work by giving misinterpretations of ABL's thought. Too many priests are falling into the sedevacantist apostasy and he felt he was not up to this internal fight against these heretics. However he wants to make sure he will be in charge of the Society's finances, and that he will remain involved in the contacts with the Holy See because of his unmatched experience as a leader of the Society during so many years.

We won this battle, but the war is not over. This is only a further trick of the accordists, we have to pray for the election of a non-accordist, rightheous and humane superior general. And that is far from being the case.

    It is April 1.

If it wasn't April 1, I would say

It is evidence there is outside control of the organization, just as Benedict XVI's resignation is evidence of outside control.

  • Not a very convincing 1st April joke. The outside control of the SSPX will decide when Bishop Fellay goes. Whilst calls have been made for him to resign, SSPX priests have lacked the courage to remove him. Whilst Bishop Tissier may oppose an agreement, Bishop Fellay has no reason to be threatened by Bishop Tissier. Bishop de Gallerata is certainly for an agreement

Put simply, Bishop Fellay won't be resigning any time soon but at some point the outside forces will drop him. He is a pawn to them. He might not always be needed.

  • The oppertunity to remove him was at the general chapter, AND THERE WAS NOT 1 COURAGEOUS ENOUGH TO STAND UP TO HIM! Oppertunity lost!

I feel the Society FELL by another FELony of +FELLay.

It's very strange. You had 'Adoramus Te' an English Trad calling 'Diego' a cretin for opposing Bishop Fellay. Even Clare and Gregorio Sarto were very much mocking those challenging Bishop Fellay so many crocodile tears now among SSPX folk.

The General Chapter was discussed on this forum and whilst some expected fireworks and drama, it was generally agreed there would be no drama at all. That was shown to be the case.

  • In England they started to show more courage when threatened to be denied the sacraments. That in itself is another topic and already discussed on Cath Info.

With El Krahgate and the wider crisis within the 'pious union' we must allow for laity to say "what can we do"? but only to a degree.

Whilst many put their reputation on the line, suffered smears and insults, others stayed in the little comfort zones they had built up.

Others happily stayed under the 'holy obedience'. The YouTube user 'Oblationem' put it well when he/she stated 'If only people had questioned Bishop Fellay more'.

  • Dear John Grace,

I am sorry to announce you that I have denounced you to Fr. Rostand's secretary, by emailing him extracts from your messages. He replied me that Fr. Rostand regularly comes to cathinfo.com. and that next time he comes he will make use the forum's Messenger facility to excommunicate you by sending you a private message on the forum.

I hope you can still relax a bit and I am sending you my best wishes,
    Suger

I quite enjoyed reading this. A better 1st April joke. I rejoice in my excommunication from the Church of Bishop Fellay.  :laugh1:

If that happened exactly as detailed above, then Fellay would still be in charge.

"Whoever controls the volume of money in any country is absolute master of all industry and
commerce." — James A. Garfield, President of the United States

The ONLY reason Fellay has any power is precisely because he owns the chapels. If they had not been given to him, he would not have had any power to do any of the things he has done.

  • I learned my lesson from last year, Happy April Fools Day 2013.

The day that we celebrate wishful Thinking.
