Does anyone know about the ordination and/or conditional ordination of anton thai trinh?

He was conditionally ordained twice.

Then he was consecrated bishop by Bishop Slupski (R.I.P.) a few years ago.

Twice?  By whom?  Do you know why he doubted the original ordination (I presume it was by a Novus Ordo bishop) and the first conditional ordination?

I believe his conditional ordinations were by Bishop Fellay and Bishop Slupski.
Bishop Fellay (and/or the SSPX) wouldn't give him any docuŠ¼ent or proof of any kind that he had been conditionally ordained, so he basically had no choice but to go through conditional ordination again. The whole point of conditional ordination is to remove doubt in the minds of the Faithful.

That's very interesting.  Every once in a while the sacristans at STAS in Winona were asked to set up Our Lady's chapel (Bishop Williamson offered Mass there most of the time) with the things needed for an ordination (when some Novus Ordo refugee priest had shown up).  That was, if I recall correctly, on the second floor of the main building.  But it was to be kept hush-hush, as none of the priests would officially confirm or deny the speculation.  These conditional ordinations were done almost secretly.  Not quite sure why.  They were never done in the main chapel.  Lots of inquiries were made as quite a few seminarians were not comfortable serving Mass for a Novus Ordo priest who had not been conditionally ordained.
