  • MOD EDIT: CentroAmerica caused a bit of needless confusion by forgetting/failing to mention that HE WROTE to this orthodox bishop, and got the story about Ambrose Moran. Just mentioning that would have saved about 10 posts by TheRealMcCoy, who was as confused as many others...

"you can go to this site just like I did, scroll down to the bottom where you can see an email address, and write to this orthodox bishop and ask him for yourself..."

Archbishop Ambroise came to us from the city of New York. He was asking us to be receive into our church. After examining him and papers which he presented we determined that he had renounced the Roman Catholic faith and joined the Orthodox Church, however he was involved with the ecuмenical movement. He had presented papers that he was it received into the Alexandrian Orthodox Patriarchate and was their representative in the United States.

In October 2007 Archbishop Ambrose of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, of New York and the Eastern United States, repented of all his ecuмenical connections with World Orthodoxy and petitioned to be received into the Genuine Orthodox Church of America. He signed a Declaration stating that he renounced the heresy of Ecuмenism, and requested to be received back into the one holy, catholic and apostolic Church. On Sunday, November 18, 2007, Archbishop Ambrose was received into the Church by joint agreement of Archbishop Gregory of the GOC of America and Archbishop Makarios of the GOC of Greece. The reception of Archbishop Ambrose took place in the Cathedral of the Dormition before all the faithful, where he made his renunciation in public and was chrismated back into the Church.

The following is a picture of his reception and him signing his renunciation of the ecuмenical heresy, which recognizes the church of Rome as a valid entity

  • On July 27, 2008, a letter written and signed by Archbishop Ambrose was received by the holy Synod, portraying the Synod of the GOC of America as non-existent. Archbishop Ambrose signed it as the Metropolitan of Kiev and the Exarch of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, thus reverting back to his former status as part of World Orthodoxy.

Because of his uncanonical actions, Archbishop Ambrose was brought to spiritual court and found guilty. He was duly deposed from the clergy.

There are many more docuмents and photographs. But I believe this is sufficient for you to understand that this poor man is only seeking for glory or a buck.  He has a very bad reputation in Buena Vista. Just a shot inquiry among the police would give you a fair impression of what they think of this man.

  • Sorry bud, the title is "An orthodox bishop speaks about Ambrose" and NOT "Centroamerica speaks about Ambrose".

  • I hope that all are able to follow this thread, ok, I had to post in three parts because of the various photos that I actually had to convert to photos in order to be able to add as an attachment...the comments are from this Bishop Gregory the orthodox bishop in the photos with Ambrose...he explains that Ambrose signed apostasy as denouncing Rome as the True Church and attached a picture of Ambrose signing this in front of all the "faithful" he explains all of this, the thread was title so that would be inferred.  He says this is the letter to "us" and the letter is clearly addressed to him from Ambrose and Ambrose claiming to be a Serbian Prince, the letter is wild and worth reading, for those just skimming and then asking questions....

  • Everything's on the first page of this thread.  Go to the bottom where you see pages and click on page 1.  Then read the first three post in order and sequence understanding that the comments and the pictures are being discussed by this so-called orthodox bishop Gregory. The second post is two photos of the letter from Ambrose to Gregory.

  • Interesting that in this version, Ambrose didn't bring up his time at Don Bosco.

    So many contradictions.

    What a fraud.

:surprised: (... or perhaps not so surprised)

This is the important part. I suspect that several of the people in all of those photographs would say similar things if they were here. (except "Prince Alexis", of course  )

  • In a childishly trolling fashion "The Real McCoy" has brazenly accused me of lying and of doctoring and photoshopping pictures.  His claims are preposterous.

Before making a rash judgement, you can go to this site just like I did, scroll down to the bottom where you can see an email address, and write to this orthodox bishop and ask him for yourself...

  • As a point of interest, in the first letter Centroamerica posted, Ambrose mentions that he visited St. Markella's in Astoria, NY:

    Quote
In my search for true Orthodox Christians, I visited St. Markella’s Cathedral  in Astoria, NY and met with Metropolitan Pavlos and Bishop Christodoulos, both of whom  strongly encouraged me to join them.

I used to live near that church and have been to it a few times years ago before I was a Catholic. I am sure we can ask someone from that church if there was an recollection of this visit.

  • Ok- I don't think I'm the only one who got lost among all the fancy clerical titles and the timeline that seems to jump around. Could someone please paraphrase? Does this mean that Ambrose is:  a.) a shyster. b.) not valid in the Roman rite. c.) still a schismatic ?
