  • Can anyone from the Minnesota resistance groups confirm that Fr Pfeiffer during his recent visits there said Ambrose parted ways with OLMC because of his disgust with Pablo rather than OLMC cut ties with him?  We have it from someone who is there that this is what Fr said the real reason was but I'd like to know if others can confirm or deny.

    Thanks.

    That would explain a lot.

  • I have several contacts and Mass organizers from the area, and they didn't mention anything like that. That did say that Fr. Pfeiffer prohibited a chapel from receiving Fr. Voight last month, and that a growing numbers of the faithful there are getting fed up with his power trips as well as the recusant's editor. I know at least one gentleman that was a very reliable benefactor, but has since desisted from supporting them. There is one seminarian from the area that left Kentucky last year and is now at the seminary in France. I hear things are going well for him now, and that it is clear that he has a vocation. We should keep him in our prayers.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

I still say Fr. Pfeiffer is hedging his bets and keeping the door cracked to use Ambrose down the road.  This story, whether true or not, is a believable explanation for the departure without denouncing Ambrose as a schismatic fraud.  I think Fr. Pfeiffer sent Ambrose on his way hoping the storm about him would pass and that he could use him later on if he doesn't find a more credible "bishop."  And by credible, I mean simply somebody that his funders will accept.
