My 18 year old daughter did this by hand --
The phrase was chosen because we are in Texas, Bp. Zendejas is our pastor (he is actually related by blood to the Cristeros, and he speaks about them often), and we admire the courage of the Cristeros.
"Viva Cristo Rey!" -- it goes well with the Mexican style crucifix (which is my favorite kind, by the way.)
Our crucifix is made from cedar wood -- it's rustic, which really fits our rural chapel.
(NOTE: The altar is cleared off because we are in the middle of some maintenance/cleaning: cleaning/ironing the linens, repairing the gradines, etc.)
