  • There was no internet in Archbishop Lefebvre's time. He wanted his priests to give catechism classes, give conferences and produce newsletters to warn the faithful about the Post Vatican II crisis. He must be turning in his grave now!

  • Am i reading this right:

The sspx Polish District website is announcing Ecclesia Deign ordination in the same breath as sspx ordinations?

  • After the 2012 General Chapter did not the Superior of SSPX Poland, Fr Karl Stehlin make derogatory remarks about the English District (Fr Morgan?) saying that it made much-ado about nothing  at the General Chapter? Don't remember on which forum or where I read it. Must we then be surprised if his website promotes the Ecclesia Dei crowd?.

  • Pro-Life activism has united both SSPX and Ecclesia Dei in Ireland so many would welcome this.Tradition in Ireland is far too small for such sectarianism.

For many Irish SSPX an 'obstacle' was removed. You need to move on.Leave Williamson to the lunatic fringe.

Menzingen would be proud of that statement.

But the SSPX has never promoted tradcuмenism, and vigorously opposed it.

Apparently, as it moves closer to Rome, it no longer has such vigorous objections.

Tradcuмenism has been a feature of the prolife movement in Ireland. Many I speak to feel 'Tradition' is too small in Ireland so people tend to support each other.

Very few in Ireland are 100% 'Pius X'.Once you get the Latin Mass it doesn't matter.

  • However open-minded the SSPX has become, I doubt their new friends are returning in kind by even daring to whisper of SSPX ordinations on their various websites

  • Interesting discussion over at IA right now.

I copy/pasted this thread over there under the title "sspx Polish District website promotes Ecclesia Dei Ordinations."

  • Orinoco-

Can you tell us how you happened to become aware of the URL you supplied?

On IA, they are questioning the authenticity of the URL, and McFarland says the information containing the Ecclesia Dei information is not found on the District website, nor can it be accessed directly from the SSPX website.

He says the information can only be accessed by typing in the specific URL you supplied, from which he concludes the URL and Ecclesia Dei information is a hoax.

Can you shed any light on this?

Whoever shared the original link on this SSPX facebook page must have been "in on it".

  • Google must be in on it too. You search for the short, current URL and the first result is the longer one ending in "ecclesia dei". I'm hard pressed to think how that would be there if it weren't the name of the webpage a short time ago.

  • I found this on the French site : http://lefebvristes.forum-box.com/t1799-Le-site-de-la-Fraternite-Saint-Pie-X-de-Pologne-annonce-des-ordinations-Ecclesia-Dei-en-meme-temps-que-celles-de-la-Fraternite.htm

I do not think that this is a hoax. Just take a look now on the official SSPX Poland homepage :
    http://www.piusx.org.pl/

Follow the link to the "news.fsspx.pl" section : "Europa i USA: Zapowiedzi święceń kapłańskich w Bractwie Św. Piusa X" - in second place at the moment.

You will find that the article has now been edited :http://news.fsspx.pl/2013/06/europa-i-usa-zapowiedzi-swiecen-kaplanskich-w-bractwie-sw-piusa-x/

The mention of the the Ecclesia Dei ordinations has disappeared.
