Exactly, that is what I have been saying for some time, it is 1965 all over again with the SSPX priests and faithful. They are walking happily and content towards a precipice and they do not know it. Only time will tell who survives.
Yup, it's pretty plain to see. All the tropes are repeating themselves. The naivete, distraction, worldliness, luxury, and sloth of the faithful in the pews, the widespread ignorance of the evils of modernism by both the clergy and the laity, etc. The intransigent are vilified, just as they were in the 1970s. The same terms are thrown at them: rebel, disobedient, schismatic.
By the time the results are self-evident, the damage will be done and it will be "too late" for most of them.
