  • Change #102b:  SSPX website Q&A change  (Deleting language which condemned the FSSP/indult):

Here's a change that was pointed out on the sspx's facebook page.  I'll leave the author as anonymous, since it doesn't matter (the author actually sounds like a sneaky, resistance supporter, so good for them).  --I added bold to highlight the changes--.

    ---Facebook post below---

I’m sorry if I barrage this group with questions but my mind sees things and I know many here are knowledgeable. I just made a post that denounces the so called sspx “resistance” and how whether they know it or not is a ploy basically to divide us.

However I have noticed something that alarms me slightly. There is an archived version of the society’s website from before 2013 and that website has the same questions and answers as the new website but takes a much stronger stance.

Look at these two versions of what they have to say on the FSSP.

    http://archives.sspx.org/SSP…/q13_fraternity_of_st_peter.htm

    https://sspx.org/en/faq-page/what-about-the-fssp-faq13

They’ve entirely removed the language that says:

“they seek to ingratiate themselves with the local bishops, praising them for the least sign of Catholic spirit and keeping quiet on their modernist deviations (unless perhaps it is a question of a diocese where they have no hopes of starting up), even though by doing so they end up encouraging them along their wrong path”

“They are therefore Conciliar Catholics and not traditional Catholics.”

“That is why a Catholic ought not to attend their Masses.”

This all concerns me very much because I know some who are considering the SSPX priesthood and they want to be sure that modernism and relativism isn’t creeping into the society. This isn’t the only time omissions like these have been made in the new version of the society’s website.

  • Hasn't the SSPX always endorsed the Jєω-pope's, (Paul VI) "indulted mass" ?

I mean... the Angelus Press has published and sold the 1962 missal for at least 15 years?

"Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it underfoot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor but a destroyer."  St. Francis of Assisi

  • This has NOTHING to do with the 1962 vs. 1955 or older Missale issue.

The 1962 Missale was released around 1962, and was the last version of the Missale Romanum before Vatican II. That is why +ABL chose it. Otherwise you'd have SSPX priests each choosing a different Missale according to his own personal opinion and personality. +ABL had to standardize, for the sake of unity within the SSPX.

To see what the early Traditional Movement was like, just look at the Resistance today.

The choice of pre-Vatican II Missale has nothing to do with any of the Indults "granted" by the Conciliar Church to say the Tridentine Mass (1983, 1988, 2006). You can be completely against the Indult, completely against the Conciliar Church, and still use the 1962 Missale.

  • I've also come to learn that there were multiple versions of the 1962 missal, the first of which did NOT add St Joseph to the canon (and may NOT have removed the 2nd confiteor prayer...but I haven't confirmed this part).  The additional changes to the 1962 missal were not accepted by +ABL (nor by other Traditional priests) and so there's no problem with the true 1962 missal (most of the changes to it involved the calendar of saints and the classes of feast days).

Ahhh, if only he had standardized around the 1951 (ie., the year Bugnini’s changes started appearing in the missal)....

Doing so would have had the benefit of showing that modernist thinking was making inroads before the Council, and we would today have the true Catholic Holy Week, instead of Pius XII’s ridiculous novelty (which at the time of the Council only had a 6 year history in the Church)!!!

Well, at least the indultarians get the true Holy Week :really-mad2:

It just for 1900 hundred and 19 years, Catholic priests never genuflected to God the Father, on Good Friday, to bid Him mercy for the conversion of the perfidious Jєωs.   :incense:

  • It needs to be remembered that Pius XII sent Montini into exile at Milan because he suspected a rat. This is a repeat of Pius X getting rid of Della Chiesa to Bologna.

Why do you say Montini was a "rat"?

Is it because he advised his KGB-Jєω contacts the names and locations of priests living in Russia ?
And those Catholic priests were subsequently arrested, tortured and murdered.

    Is that a "rat"?
The answer would be: "No, that is a Catholic clerical apostate and a national traitor".

And if that answer is correct, then Montini should have been arrested, tried in court, defrocked and hung by the neck until dead.

An "exile to Milan" would be more analogous to a "gαy vacation".
