  • In today's (Wednesday 6 June 2012) St Marys Star (local weekly newspaper for Saint Marys, Kansas) this ad appeared:

    Quo Vadis SSPX?
Most people know that in the early centuries of the Church many martyrs gave their lives for the Faith. Many people do not know that Catholics are still being martyred today in some parts of the world. Catholics have been killed in India and the Philippines for example. But even so, there are brave priests of the Society of St Pius X willing to risk their lives and bring the Faith to chapels in India, the Philippines and throughout Asia.  These are priests whose absolute commitment to Jesus Christ and the Traditional Faith extends even to the offering of their very lives if necessary. Two of those priests are Fr Francois Chazal and Fr Joseph Pfeiffer. What have these zealous priests to say to us at this time?

You can find out what Fr Francois Chazal has to say at

Listen to the inspired words of Fr Joseph Pfeiffer at:
    http://op54rosary.ning.com/forum/topics/sermon-by-father-joseph-pfeiffer-on-sspx-and-rome

Do we love Our Lord Jesus Christ as these priests do?...with our whole heart and mind and soul? Or are we content to sleepwalk through life looking to take the easy way…avoid controversy…avoid sacrifice?
What does a commitment to the Traditional Catholic Faith require of us today? What words of wisdom do Bishops Alfonso de Galarreta, Bernard Tissier de Mallerais and Richard Williamson have for us today?

  • Great ad!!!  (Fr. Fullerton must be livid; I'm sure the investigation into who would be "guilty" of providing this necessary information has already been launched.)

  • Someone should call tomorrow and see if the ad is already paid for next week's run.
Or perhaps we should do a little fundraising and see that next week's ad is BIGGER.  :read-paper:

    Welcome to Cathinfo!

Silly me took them seriously when it said I couldn't view the issue without being a subscriber. I didn't think to just click the page forward and see what happens!

  • Great ad! ...and for them to publish it I guess some people still have their mind functioning in St. Mary's.

We should manage to spread more of those through catholic media such as CFNews, Remnant, etc.

Any other thoughts or ideas?  :reporter:

    Great idea, MD!

Once the redirects are established let us all know so we can spread this ad more easily.

  • Great Ad!!!

Coming from a long time resident it is good to see such an ad appear in the weekly rag in the very heart of SSPX Mecca... St. Mary's.

In a mitigated defense of the town, there are a few, perhaps a couple dozen (optimistically) that comprehend the crisis.  Unfortunately the remainder drink the Koolaid (and like the taste).

A simple prayer for the SSPX...

    Lord Take it,
    Break it,
    Shake it and,
    Remake it.

  • You can drop the "http://". For that matter, you don't have to type "www" either, but dropping that makes it less obvious that these are internet addresses.

I see Cathinfo doesn't like that I dropped the "http://" as they no longer appear as links.  :stare:

Also, I'd recommend directing the Fr. Pfeiffer sermon directly to YouTube as well as the pertinent sermon is a bit buried on the ning page. On the other hand, there's lots of good stuff there, I don't suppose you can really go wrong with someone reading/listening to the "wrong" sermon on that page.  :smirk:

  • Are there any empty churches around the St. MAry's area that a group of people could get their hands on to set up an alternate Mass location for those who do not want to go along with the agreement?

Anyone from the area have any ideas?

  • Some of the posts here lead me to believe St. Mary's is a lost cause, but for those who'd like to know, here's what it costs to run the ad once in the local St. Mary's paper:

    Quarter page - $80
    Half page - $160
    Whole page - $320

As of now, it's not scheduled to run again.

  • Please don't write us off yet...

    Genesis 18:32...

I beseech thee, saith he, be not angry, Lord, if I speak yet once more: What if ten should be found there? And he said: I will not destroy it for the sake of ten. [33] And the Lord departed, after he had left speaking to Abraham: and Abraham returned to his place.
