We ask him to pray for us every night after the Rosary.

It goes like this:

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us
St. Pius X, pray for us
St. Alphonsus, pray for us
St. Dominic, pray for us
St. Athanasius, pray for us
St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for us
Guardian Angels, watch over us
Archbishop Lefebvre, pray for us
Fr. Cooper, pray for us
I have done likewise with many non-canonized departed souls, including Archbishop Lefebvre.

Hello Sean!

Thank you for posting Fr. Cooper's words on Bishop Williamson!   I'll be sharing this one!
After someone who was a very good person and a true fighter for the faith passed away, an SSPX priest told me to
pray for this person and to pray TO her!

Do you know the date of this sermon?

Fr. Cooper, pray for us.

"A Saint speaks about Bishop Williamson."??
Never heard of a Saint Cooper.
When was he canonized?

Asks a simple, straight-forward and reasonable question, immediately gets anonymously down voted.

How TradTM.

BTW, if he's not been canonized, how is the OP's allusion to the same any different than poche changing scripture?  You know... for the effect of making the overall, larger point.

Hi Barbara-

I’m not really sure when this sermon was, but it kind of sounds like it might have been sometime after Bishop Williamson was expelled; I would have to do a little digging to find out for sure.

Requiscant in pace.

A very nice commentary about Bp. Williamson by Fr. Cooper. I don't know much about Fr. Cooper, but I have to assume that he was still associated with the SSPX when he died.

Regarding the naysayers on this thread who have complained about describing Fr. Cooper as a saint, well,  those who believe that we, as Catholics, aren't allowed to think that a deceased Catholic is a saint have not really paid attention to the history of the Church. Padre Pio was thought a saint by the laity before he was ever canonized, as was St. Bernadette, and many others.

In the early Church, there were saints who were never formally canonized, but they are still considered saints. Fr. Cooper may indeed be a saint, though he is relatively unknown and obscure.

There are some on this forum who believe that anyone associated with the SSPX cannot possibly be in Heaven, which is unfortunate. It isn't a Protestant notion to believe that a soul may indeed be in Heaven, and therefore a saint. Protestants don't usually believe in saints, in the sense that the Church teaches about saints. Protestants generally don't have a clue at all regarding saints.
