  • When Father Hewko was visiting St. Mary's he was confronted by ten priests from the SSPX and a group of seminarians from Winona.  It was a four hour exchange.  Not exactly a fair fight.

As the argument continued Fr. Hewko was filled with a Holy Anger at the lack of Truth presented from Bishop Fellay's troops.  Fr. Rostand should have sent more to the fight.  Father Hewko plans to address this group point by point in writing.

He believes in confronting falsehoods, as they harm souls, and is not afraid to do so.

Father Hewko's favorite ejaculation is "Viva Cristo Rey!"

It must still be ringing in the ears of those priests and seminarians.

  • When our family first moved to St Marys, years ago, I considered us so blessed to have so many priests so close.

And when I see how seldom the good resistance priets are able to bring us Mass in St Marys now it sometimes discourages me.

But I know that, before God, having one good, holy, manly, Christ-like priest like Fr Hewko visit once a month with the true Faith, with true priestly zeal for souls, is worth infinitely more than having an army of weak, cowardly, compromising, priests so close and so unconcerned for souls, concerned only for their "good standing" in Bishop Fellay's personal clerical club.

May Our Blessed Lady continue to bless Fr. Hewko, Fr Pfeiffer, Fr Chazl and all good, holy priests.

  • Fr. Hewko is one of the holiest priests I've ever met.

Why would they ambush him?  Maybe more to the point, why are they afraid of him? hmmm... are they afraid of the truth spreading?

  • Many thanks for this. I have changed tactics and now am considering confronting  Bishop Fellay to the face in Ireland.

At this stage it is open warfare with these liberal rats.

I'm not naive. Bishop Fellay will draw a crowd in Ireland albeit a hand picked audience.

Shout at Bishop Fellay when you see him.

  • Upon reflection, I shall adhere to my original plan of not lending the liberal credibility and will stay away. The bus fare that would have gone on getting to his conference will go instead to the resistance.

You are not getting my money, Herr Krah.

This is a warning to all priests who continue to refuse to speak out against the Doctrinal Declaration of Bishop Fellay. They become blind as bats.

They are not blind. They are pro-Bishop Fellay and pro-agreement with Rome. They know well. They have no intention of speaking out. How can you speak out against something you favour? They are for the deal. Get used to it.

What people can and ought to do is build upon the resistance, those, who remain faithful to the heritage of the Archbishop.

No doubt VinnyF will disagree but who cares?

  • Deal or No Deal many will stick with Bishop Fellay. Personally, I don't most faithful are too concerned with happenings.

Even when Bishop Fellay comes to Ireland and Britain, people will greet him. Many have probably never seen the letters of the three Bishops, two of which have shown themselves to be gutless cowards.

  • Telesphorus has used the term cult. I disagree but think the term coward is more suited. Sadly, many in the SSPX are cowards and the fight is not in them. I am sorry to say this but many have been found wanting.

Even Fr Pfeiffer spoke of this. I am very ashamed of SSPX folk. I expected better. It's a pointless discussion. One is either for an agreement or not.

When Bishop Williamson was in Ireland it was outlined to him the vast bulk of priests and laity are against an agreement yet Bishop Fellay and the rot in Menzingen press ahead.

Are you sure they were SSPX priests and seminarians and not FSSP priests and seminarians?

  • I will attend the mass and the conference and I intend to have a moment of respectful exchange with him, if possible in private. I would act like a cretin if I started shouting at him.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
    Praised be Jesus ad Mary!

You are lending Bishop Fellay credibility by attending. Why a private exchange? Many are staying away from the conference In England, people are staying away also.

I ask that you name the priests who confronted Fr. Hewko. I, for one, would like to know which ones have become so outspokenly liberal to attack this holy priest. It would be good to know whom to avoid. I rarely go to St. Mary's, but I know people there and they would probably like to know who these particular priests are, especially so as to avoid going to confession to one of them.

There are so many SSPX priests who are keeping silent, whichever way they lean. It would be good to at least know the names of those who have openly chosen sides.

Well, we are several generations away from the fighters who knew the score. I can attest to the younger generations having everything handed on a silver platter and being rather comfortable with our Latin Mass and devotions. No doubt many have forgotten the sacrifices their parents and grandparents made to get them AWAY from this exact conservative spirit.

There is a sermon of +Williamson wherein he says the problem with the time before VII was that everyone was so devoted yet lacked doctrine. (I am paraphrasing and expanding now) Devotions can make us feel nice and religious but if they are not built upon the rock of doctrine, they are weak and shifty and we can lose our Faith, even as we pray 3 novenas a day and have all the pretty pictures of Our Lady hung around the house.

That's not to say no one gets Doctrine but if the SSPX refrains from condemning the NO, then the faithful are not getting the Doctrine that is most pertinent to our times. Once their serious errors are no longer exposed (like the DICI that skips the Pope Emeritus' blatant heretical view of religious liberty or even now, Pope Francis' celebration of Hannukah mere months ago) if they paint a sweet picture of good intentions instead, then it is too easy for the faithful to go along with the idea that Rome has changed and we must "change along with them." This lack of pertinent doctrine undermines everything else.

I am sorry Fr Hewko had to endure that but knowing him he would have been honored to stand and fight like a soldier. The more uneven the better, to give glory to God and not himself. I am glad so many accosted him, at least they are taking interest! Pray it was God's way of sowing a few seeds for later growth.
