  • You could talk and write all day to the people in your chapel about the changes being wrought upon the SSPX, but they don't listen, and yet they see and sense the tension in the air. I have yet to read anything that better describes SSPX chapels than this picture. Truly, a picture is worth a thousand words.

  • That's painting with a pretty broad brush:

    1) Many chapels have experienced no changes whatsoever; mine is one of them.

    2) Despite that, we have a vigorous resistance population of about 10-15% of our 300 parishioners.

    3) All that said, yes, there are definitely many who forcefully maintain their comfort zone by practicing CRIMETHINK in order not to have to consider the SSPX could possible be heading down the wrong direction.

There isn't a tense silence in your chapel? The people are openly speaking about the situation?

    Bowler-

    1) As time has gone by, both camps are becoming more militant.

    2) We all know whose side each other are on (for the most part).

    3) Friendships are starting to fall apart.

    4) Much more I would like to tell you on tis forum, but prudence dictates I do not.

    5) Remember, we are being watched.

    Seraphim,

    1)  You are being led down the garden path.

    2)  You and your friends are being told to PRAY, PAY and OBEY.

    3)  You are being treated like MUSHROOMS:  fed B.S. and kept in the dark.

    4)  Like any good mushroom, when you're big enough you'll be harvested.

    5)  If you have something to share with the members you don't have to
post it yourself, you can use PM to pass it around to key members who will
assist you and protect your identity.

    6)  We're all in this together.  This is war.

It's a matter for SSPX folk if they want to believe the B.S.

I agree and whilst I am tempted to call SSPX folk gutless cowards, it would be wrong of me and not accurate. I think you are correct about a comfort zone.

It will only be a minority who form a resistance. Even Spengler stated this.

  • i think the term 'gutless' is harsh, for most people to side with sspx, in the first place, took guts, now we are fearful, and rightly so, but we watch and pray,

And to act. Far too many in the Society have fallen in to Quietism. It's often discussed as conferences. I saw it myself in England. Very few turn up to the Catholic Action conferences. The only ones doing anything in that country are the LKC and CVM folk. Rest a bit inactive. Very pro-Capitalist spirit in England.
