This was distributed to faithful at SS Joseph & Padarn last Sunday.

Is this 'constructive criticism' as the 'resistance' see it?

    QUOTE

    A Note for Your Diary

You will have noticed that the great leader himself will be gracing us with is presence in June, and will be giving a talk on his favourite topic.

In answer to what many of you will be wondering, and which some of you have asked: no, we will not be going along to cause any kind of disturbance, embarassment, or anything else.

Aside for the fact that Bp. Fellay talk will most likely be very long and boring, and will only make you either bored or angry, even if you do get an opportunity to ask a pertinent question, you have no guarantee that you answer will not be one of a typical politician: sounds fine, please the crowd, but essentially doesn’t help anyone.

And your presence will only help to swell the numbers in attendance, which will ultimately give him more credibility.

I think at this stage we ought to try something constructive. That being the case, please make a note in your diary to come to London on Sunday 2nd June (and if possible, the Saturday too).

Details are still being finalised and more information vill be given in due course. The event will be something along the lines of a “Crisis in the SSPX” conference. We have already have arrangments in hand to accomodate around 80, but if (as we suspect) more people than that in fact attend, we will look for somewhere else. If enough people will kindly email us to confirm their attendance, we can make arrangements accordingly.

  • It must be remembered Bishop Fellay will also be visiting Ireland for confirmations and a conference.

Am I going to be there to greet Bishop Fellay? No. Being present only lends credibility to Bishop Fellay.

  • It must be a risky business today for the top brass speaking directly to the great unwashed in case the latter should ask awkward questions. This is the case at company annual general meetings and politicians 'meeting the people'. To counter this there is an active industry in being scripting the event beforehand without making it appear so. Audiences can be selected and questions controlled. And it pays to have management groupies sporting threatening demeanours scattered among the crowd to handle 'trouble makers'. Very scientific .... but could this be the future of visiting head office dignataries even in the docile religious field?

    I agree with Mathew.
    If I may suggest.
Send a person with a voice recorder. Voice recorder are very sensitive. Placed in the pocket, it could not be seen and yet the recording would be crystal clear. I have done it hence this suggestion.
