  • I just got this in the mail:

    Quote
Throughout the remainder of 2015, I will outline plans to ensure the long-term viability of the Society of St. Pius X, including:

Expanding chapels and priories to accommodate growth in the numbers of faithful
Upgrading those facilities that are in good condition so they can handle expected growth
Reaching out to more people, attracting new faithful to the traditional Latin Mass
Building more schools and expanding our current schools
Increasing the number of priestly and religious vocations for the Society of St. Pius X
Establishing traditional Catholic retirement communities to care for aging populations of priests,      religious, and laity.

Where from such "expected growth" if not from a new approved SSPX drawing all the "conservatives"? At the ground braking ceremony for the new seminary, +Fellay spoke of "all the bishops that had pledged to send their seminarians there".

I guess now retired "priests, religious, and laity" can turn over their property, etc. to the SSPX to care for them? Very profitable business! If there is one thing they know well is "to ensure their long-term viability". Passing on the Catholic faith is obviously not a priority.

  • I got that flyer in the mail as well.  I, too, was wondering why they were specifically "expecting growth" and where that expectation was coming from.  But my curiosity ended there and deposited the mailing into my recycle bin.

  • Might I suggest that you two do the honorable thing and simply ask to be removed from their mailing list?

    We'd all appreciate it.

I never asked to be in it and certainly have not given them anything since +Fellay embraced the Hermeneutics of Continuity and sang the Te Deum for Summorum Pontificuм. If you know my name, (they know who M.A. is as many on CathInfo do), tell them to spare me their mail. I get too much junk! I'm too busy to bother.
