  • 89 year old ‘pillar of the church’ banned from SSPX chapel
From the German website CustosSancto comes the following report. A gentleman aged 89 has been "expelled" by the District Superior, Fr. FirminUdressy for "bad spirit." Henceforth he is no longer allowed to so much as set foot in the chapel, or any other chapel of the SSPX. Below is a translation of the letter sent to him:
    “16th April, 2014
    Stuttgard

    Dear Mr Jakobi,

Due to the bad spirit, which you have been spreading for a long time in our chapel of St. Ansgar in Seelze,  as District Superior I hereby decree that you are persona non grata in the priories and centres of the German District, especially for the above-named chapel. This ban will remain in force until its express repeal.

    Yours sincerely,
        Fr. FirminUdressy
     (District Superior)”

The chapel in question is near Hannover.
According to the source, Mr Jakobi was a pillar of the parish since before the council, and a pillar of his SSPX parish in more recent times. A retired postman who refers to himself as a 'Lefebvre hardliner', he parted with his his savings so as to make possible the purchase of this chapel, the very same chapel from which he now finds himself banned! We send him our best wishes of support from across the channel and congratulate him on receiving this distinction which is a source of shame for Fr. Udressy and his friends, but which we hope will wake up even more people to the subversion taking place. Archbishop Lefebvre's SSPX has been and is being supplanted by a neo-SSPX which is opposed to his spirit. Mr. Jakobi's case has provided the world with yet more evidence of that fact.

  • Here it comes....

Someone is going to post that this "personal letter" should not have been made public.

This guy should have kept the property in his own name.

  • He should immediately take his letter to the Federal Government and demonstrate their persecution of his religious beliefs, and their theft of his property. In Germany and France, the SSPX gets their funding through the government withholding system, and they get their repair and maintainance monies in a similar manner. Demonstration of their willful, malicious intent in denying him the right to worship, and their fraud in taking his savings and mis-applying it will not be looked upon very positively.
When the taxing agents consult the Catholic Diocese, and find the SSPX is fraudulently using the name "Catholic" when they are have no part of the 'Catholic" church in Germany, Father Schmidberger will have a larger frown on his forehead.

( Then see them scurry to sneak into the conciliar tent!)

I think it would be great if all of us could get photos of this 89 year-old gentleman and go to a costume/makeup specialist to have our appearance changed to look just like him and then we can all show up at our local SSPX chapels and see if anyone recognizes us.  We should all learn a little German so we can fake it.

Seriously, how are they going to keep track of where he goes to Mass?  Are they going to post his picture in the Post Office, for crying out loud?  What, there's only one SSPX chapel within reasonable distance?  The trains in Germany are very efficient (always have been).  He could hop on a train and go to Mass 100 miles away and have a nice trip in the process, and it would be cheap.

    This is ridiculous.

It's time for Mr. Jakobi to find himself most welcome at a Resistance chapel.  Or he could start one!  Send an e-mail to Matthew, Mr. Jakobi!  E-mail TheRecusant!

With such scant information it's really hard to wrap my brain around this travesty.

What could Mr. Jakobi have possibly said that gives them the gall to say he had  "bad spirit?"

I'm of the mind that the unclean spirit of Vat.II is what Fr. FirminUdressy must defer to, and any "spirit" that conflicts with this uncelan spirit of Vat.II must be what he thinks is "bad."

There is a breed of people out there who will stop at nothing if it means grabbing some money, no matter whose it is.  They are avaricious, mercenary and soulless.

  • Don't kid yourself, poche.

There are completely innocent people being persecuted these days, in all sectors of life, including the Traditional Catholic world. But it's not limited to there.

I know it's very tempting for each of us to day, "Oh, he must have done something wrong, or at least imprudent. I have to find some way to make myself feel better otherwise I'll have to conclude that I could be next!!"

    Look at my other thread:
    http://www.cathinfo.com/catholic.php/Beware-the-cops-even-if-you-are-not-criminal

Something similar happened to me in November 2012. I wasn't totally banned from the chapel, but I was fired from my volunteer (choir) position because of my involvement with CathInfo which Fr. Rostand didn't like.

The neo-SSPX is playing bully. They're running scared.

Sorry, poche--I didn 't mean to thumbs up you ; so I had to thumbs up Mathew just to make it a draw. :)

That's probably how our friend incurred the wrath of Fellay-- he might have clicked on "enter" to a site Fellay doesn 't fully appreciate.

  • It's too difficult to know what happened in this case. It could've been something like Matthew's situation or it could've been a senior gentleman who after having donated large sums of money decided that he had the right to cause trouble and then complain about mistreatment later. Frankly, with so little details this story is hardly worthy of international attention. It is just getting more and more difficult to believe the blog rumors being passed around these days. It was like that situation where they were spreading the letter about a well respected priest.

I think the resistance would do itself a favor if it could ban women from the internet. That would at least drop the rumors down a considerable amount I am guessing.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

I'd gladly give up my posting ability along with all the women if it would eliminate even a majority of rumors, but I know it would only scratch the surface.

It seems to me there is a subtlety here that might help you and others from making a mistake.

You were not 'fired', Matthew, because of your involvement with CathInfo.

You were 'fired' from your (volunteer) position because you let Fr. Rostand find out about your involvement.

While in your case, it might not be a practical subtlety, since perhaps you had to tell people about CathInfo if you would ever have it get off the ground, since you would need a core group to get it started.

But in regards to others, such as members who join today, we can be part of CI without having to inform a District priest about it.  And so, we wouldn't have to be 'fired from the choir' if we are an active member of CI or any other Resistance forum.
