Title: 1st Anniversary of Dr. White's death
Post by: Matthew on February 09, 2026, 11:32:32 PM

Quote
Enclosed you receive a photo of a poem written by Bp. Williamson on a postcard from Margate to Dr. White.
He asked Dr. White by these lyrics to write an autobiography.

It will be good for people to read Bishop's hand writing on this poem.
Doctor's anniversary is on February 11th.

Dear Doctor, soon should come your way
A card from Bp. Z, to say
How went your own life, with its fruits?
Whence came your faith? What were its roots?
By what means you persevere?
What do young people need, to steer
Their lives to God until they die,
So that at death to Heaven they fly?
This smart young bishop has a press
And many souls in much distress,
So can print what you would write
For darkened souls to get clear light.
He knows how much you would be read,
But best write soon. You can’t write ….!
Please take his soulful Catholic plea
As coming from himself and me.
It seems to us, you have to give
This testimonial, while you live.

God rest his soul.
Did this autobiography ever come to fruition?
