We noticed at Mass last night that Fr. Chazal is in need of new shirts.
Long sleeve white dress shirts. Don't know size, guessing 16-16 1/2 neck size.
Would have gotten him some but only noticed last night (late) and now he is GONE!!
Please help.
THX!

my son is a 16 and father is definitely bigger. I would agree with the 16 1/2.

THX, BVMKNIGHT!
I suspect Frs. Pfeiffer and Chazal have little or no time to go buy things like this for themselves.
There mission is not to look good, but to provide the Sacraments to those in need and to preach the Word of Truth.
If the faithful can get these things for the priests, I know they would be appreciated.
THX!

I expect he would especially appreciate the collarless white shirts with French cuffs worn with a rabat or cassock.

Anyone know where those can be bought?

Perhaps they can be ordered online from vestment stores.

Dear AMS, where has Fr. Chazal gone??
-
He did need collarless shirts which we did not find on short notice, but he said he might find someone to alter them. He will be on his way to Asia tomorrow. We are so grateful to him for stopping here and to Father Pfeiffer for setting it up. What a blessing! The people of Asia have a treasure!

thats interesting..... in the light of fr coutures recent visit to ireland. the slide show on the asian mission was most interesting, not least in its geogoraphy content. im wondering, does fr chazal have a particular area the he ministers to, or is it 'open' territory to neo/sspx and the apostles of jesus and mary...?

I suppose he goes wherever there is request and support. It seems Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia are at the top of the list of Asian countries.

BVMKNIGHT:
Thanks for the effort!
Now, if we can ALL pool our resources and get Fr. Pfeiffer a new cassock. Again, I am sure things like this are not on his radar, although he did tell us that his white cassock is actually an altar servers' cassock and not one for a priest.
Any ideas?

The culture of southeast asia pretty much demand a beard and a white cassock as I suppose the priests are instructed.
Quantum Potes, Tantum Aude.
P. S. Any thing new on episcopal consecrations - America, France, South America?
-
My wife bought two cassocks (one white, one black) for Father Pfeiffer. They arrived today. When he next comes to Toronto, he will receive them.

So do we, but it won't be January and February is yet unclear. Please pray that his schedule develops an opening.

White cassocks are worn only in the tropics and other hot-weather areas. Priests were dispensed from wearing black cassocks in such areas either by Pius XI or Pius XII. Priests of the SSPX in Asia do not wear the black cassock.
I doubt very much that beards are a cultural thing in Southeast Asia. Very few people, especially urban folk, of that region wear beards. The SSPX as a whole does not go in for beards although these were tolerated for some time in India. When some of the priests were moved to the Philippines I heard they were requested to shave their beards off.

My son likes the ones from Almy.

I believe the custom of white cassocks in many Asian countries has its origin in the simple fact tht it is much cooler in hot weather than a black cassock.
