  • My wife and I are going to be moving to Colorado Springs within the next few weeks. Does anyone know of any SSPX Resistance chapels in the Colorado Springs area?

Only know of fr. Pfeiffer in Denver now and then, which I don't recommend.  Try traditio and tradidi.

  • Thanks a lot for the information! I will probably have to make do with the FSSP until there is a suitable SSPX Resistance chapel in the area.

  • Why not check out Fr. Anthony Ward's chapel, Servants of the Holy Family. Fr. Ward was the SSPX's first priest in the USA before he left to go on his own in the mid 70s if I recall correctly, he was ordained by +ABL and far as I know there is a group of priests with him there. They are right in Colorado Springs.

  • Servants of the Holy Family seems like a really good group. I have watched several videos in their Catholic Faith Series and did not find any signs of liberalism or modernism in their teachings. However, I am not sure what their position is in regards to the Conciliar Church. I know the Diocese of Colorado Springs no longer considers them to be in "good standing", but that does not bother me as long as they are operating under supplied jurisdiction.

  • What was your decision? I attend Immaculate Conception.

I had to leave Colorado Springs before I ever got a chance to go to Mass at either Immaculate Conception or Servants of the Holy Family. My wife was almost completely bedridden from altitude sickness. I now live in the Cincinnati area and attend Our Lady of Lourdes which is run by the Missionaries of St. John the Baptist. It is not a resistance chapel and is recognized by the conciliar church.  However, its priests seem to take a lot of anti-modernist positions.
