  • I was looking through this subforum and I found no threads on this. Considering that Aus is a large western nation I thought it would be good to make a thread.

I know there is Fr. Macdonald but I am unsure of the location.

  • As far as I'm aware,  Fr MacDonald has moved to Ireland now.    Fr Makartis has taken over from him.

  • There are two resistance priest in Sydney.
There are Brisbane Masses on a quasi regular basis with Fr. MacDonald. He has moved to NZ and is based there. Not Ireland.
Father Mina George is in Melbourne. Here is an article about him and his journey

This self-styled Canon Makaritis is to be avoided like the plague.

    Please tell us more.
What do you mean by self-styled?
Why ought we to avoid him like the plague?
If Bishop Williamson saw fit to conditionally ordain him and also saw fit to approve the Canons of the Sacred Wounds, we need some serious reasons to follow your advice.

My error, Canon Makaritis was not conditionally ordained by Bishop Williamson, but rather, ordained by him, since he was refused ordination by the New Church bishop at the end of his training because of his conservative views.

When did Bishop Williamson approve this? Bishop Williamson refused to start any new organisation after 2012, so I would doubt such an approval, if any, would be given. Certainly I'm open to be proven wrong.

    He most certainly did so.
The Canons visited him at Broadstairs and spent some time with him on at least a couple of occasions a few years ago, during the COVID era, when he sorted out their ordinations and approved their rule.
What Bishop Williamson refused to do was to be the leader of any group or organisation or to gather together the Resistance under one head.
