I am so sorry to hear that, Bonaventure.  For you and your wife.

Yes, we were aware of NaPro, and in fact tried it (only after being told about it by a traditional priest).  However, this did not result in pregnancy.  Due to the severity of my wife's endometriosis, not only were both of her ovaries crushed with endo (one having had to be removed via surgery), but her fallopian tubes were mangled into what looked like spaghetti (doctor's description).  So, even if her partially functioning remaining ovary we able to ovulate, the chances of an egg traveling to where it needed to be to get fertilized were quite slim.

It could be that along with a New liturgy, sacraments, rosary, saints, the NO needs new apparitions to validated new devotions like Divine Mercy?
Well, they still have Medjugorje that seems to be perpetual......

Bonaventure, have you heard of Naprotechnolgy. It may be of some help. Here is an article I just found

An Ethical Comparison between In-Vitro Fertilization and NaProTechnology

The Sacred: Catholic Liturgy, Chant, Prayers / Re: Newly Baptised and Struggling

Dear Striving Catholic,

Would you like to tell us a bit about your conversion? Approx how old are you; and how did you come to RCIA and the decision about the Catholic Church? Did you come in alone, or with others, like family or friends?

Thank you,
In Christ

I wouldn't get to hung up on the Divine Mercy prayers. The prayer itself won't do any harm but I believe what was condemned was the claims of Sr Faustina. We have depended on Divine Mercy for a long time and we need it badly. It is the modern interpretation and presumption that is condemned, as I understand it.  BTW, I'm no expert.

Also, there's much more to tradition than our postures and other visible manifestations. You need to investigate the purpose in breaking with tradition.

I was with my wife in process of doing IVF.
I did know that Church was against it, and searched for more information. At that time I was in Novus ordo, didn't know anything about Traditional Catholic movement and all else. I learned what they do, asked doctors and I decided not to do it even if I never had children in my life. ...

Similar situation for us. Due to my wife's severe endometriosis, doctor advised us to seek out IVF treatments.  We went to an initial consultation, looked at what it involved, and both of us came the conclusion that we weren't going any further. So glad we made that decision.
