I should also mention that the standard cant denial of Jєωιѕн Ritual Murder always mentions that the confessions of the Jєωιѕн perpetrators were obtained under torture—HOWEVER—the confessions revealed the locations of bodies. Did torture magically infuse knowledge of the location of the victims' bodies? Further, the confessions revealed details of the rituals that could not have been known by innocents.

[sigh!] So unsurprising, the deconstruction of Toaff's SECOND EDITION has been shoahed and is only available as archived: https://web.archive.org/web/20110720025119/https://www.cwporter.com/toaffdonor.htm

At the same time as ANTI-Pope Montini's [ptui!] promulgation of Nostra Aetate [ptui!] the Archbishop of Trent  Alessandro Maria Gottardi "suppressed the cult" of St. Simon of Trent.  Revealingly, "Catholic" reports on the suppression laud Jєωιѕн efforts and "the detachment of an honest scholar" to claim libel.  https://web.archive.org/web/20230201211925/https://www.cesnur.org/2007/toaff_01.htm They also used pull quotes from Toaff's "Pasque di Sangue" [English translation online at https://archive.is/VZ9r2 ]while admitting they hadn't read the entire book that, using the Vatican archives, proved numerous Jєωιѕн Ritual Murders in Europe.

The Novus Ordo [ptui!] has not "decanonized" the Saint.  To do so would put them in the position of demonstrating that canonizations are not infallible, thereby jeopardizing their own fake canonization of "Saint" ANTI-Popes and monsters like the homo-marrano-kabbalist Escriva https://web.archive.org/web/20210207132942/judaism.is/opus-dei.html , in turn exposing his Opus [Ju]Dei cult.

The Novus Ordo has instead simply "disappeared" the inconvenient martyrs of incontrovertibly docuмented Jєωιѕн Ritual Murder: https://archive.is/XioUz

I have attached the English translation of the FIRST EDITION of Toaff's Pasque di Sangue.  An excerpt regarding the SECOND EDITION revised according to the dictates of the ADL after a campaign of legal threats and death threats:

Quote
As you would expect, docuмentation of numerous ritual murders of Christian children by Jєωs, especially docuмentation provided by the son of the former Chief Rabbi of Rome, caused an enormous furor. Initially Dr. Toaff courageously stood tall promising to stand by his findings from medieval archives, but he suffered death threats and threats of prosecution by the Israeli Knesset. Within a week, publication of his first edition was stopped and the books were recalled from bookstores. Dr. Toaff promised—and provided—a heavily revised second edition, bleated that he had been misunderstood, and promised all the profits of his revised edition to the Anti-Defamation League.

Fortunately, enough copies of the first edition survived to be distributed in the original Italian and in translations that are readily available online. Of course, the revised second edition is readily available to anyone who would want it.

The risible premise in the revised edition is that Christian children died at the hands of Jєωs, but that the children were voluntary donors of blood and things just accidentally went wrong. The second edition is meticulously deconstructed with exact quotes here:
http://www.cwporter.com/toaffdonor.htm

Excerpt from the preamble to the deconstruction:

ARIEL TOAFF AND THE NEWLY INVENTED FAIRY TALE OF THE “VOLUNTARY DONORS”
Short summary

Revised 24 February 2011

Prof. Toaff has since partially recanted, and now maintains that:
• yes, Jєωs are a corrupting and disruptive element in society;
• yes, Jєωs lend money at 40% and seem to do little else;
• yes, Jєωs buy and sell justice with huge bribes;
• yes, Jєωs pull off all sorts of fraudulent bankruptcies and swindles;
• yes, Jєωs resort to poisoning and assassination when thwarted;
• yes, Jєωs are obsessed with hatred for Christians and the Christian religion;
• yes, Jєωs kidnapped and castrated Christian boys on a large scale and sold them into slavery in Islamic Spain for centuries;
• yes, Jєωs used [and still use?] human blood in all sorts of quack remedies, despite the Biblical prohibition, even for minor complaints;
• yes, Jєωs used [and still use?] Christian human blood in their matzoh balls at Passover;
• yes, Jєωs used [and still use?] Christian human blood in their wine at Passover;
• yes, the blood had to be from Christian boys no more than 7 years of age;
• yes, the blood had [has?] to be certified kosher by a rabbi;
• yes, there was [is?] a large and profitable trade in fake blood products and animal blood, which were [are?] unsuitable to the purpose;
• yes, Christians tried to sell the blood of Christian boys to Jєωs, but were rejected because the Jєωs feared it was animal blood; but no, no Christian boys were ever killed to obtain the blood. Never, never! Or hardly ever. It all came from “voluntary donors”!

The constitution has been applied arbitrarily since almost the very start. The United States lasted from 1776 to 1861. Since then it has become a messianic enterprise that regards the rest of the world with the same disdain as it regarded the american indians, who had the misfortune of simply existing in the territories that protestants coveted.

So the cινιℓ ωαr was the turning point.

And what were the real reasons for the war? Was it the way that the Jєωs found to consolidate their power over the country?

This is a pic of pro- life atheist  Teresa B that she posted on her twitter feed . I told her to cover up and she blocked me . While she was vacationing in sunny Florida good Catholic members of her organization are in prison for 8 months facing 11 year sentences for attempting to peacefully rescue babies . While I don’t deny her a vacation, couldn’t she be a little bit more sensitive? Is this who we want representing the babies?

Thank you Ladislaus. This is both enlightening and comforting at the same time, to know that what I am going through helps me to make progress in the spiritual life. I will need to remember that.

Currently, I am saying the Morning Offering, 3 O'clock Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Evening Offering as my starting point. The Rosary might prove too much for me at the moment and I fear I will give it up halfway again.

Thank you for the links! I will bookmark this, so I can get back to it.

The Rosary is a powerful weapon per Padre Pio.  The Rosary and stations of the Cross are the way for a Catholic.  The divine mercy chaplet should never replace the Holy Rosary (with 3 mysteries), Stations of the Cross and Douay Rheims Bible reading.  The Holy Bible is God’s word and will help you in your life.

Welcome to the Catholic Church

I wasn't the one to downvote you, but it might be because if the "Byzantine Catholics'" mentality is "nearly identical" to the Orthodox in the ways you mentioned and identify as "Orthodox", then are they really Catholic?

The theology, culture, and mentalities of Byzantine Catholics -- Ruthenians especially come to mind -- is nearly identical to their schismatic Orthodox counterparts, and will sometimes identify as Orthodox in communion with the Papacy.
Yes, the Byzantine Catholics are Catholic. They share the one Apostolic Faith, possess Apostolic succession (unlike the Novus Ordo where this is an open question), celebrate the seven sacraments (mysteries in their terminology), in communion with the See of Rome.

Is there anything else needed?

Do you have a different definition of Catholic, perhaps "only Roman" equals Catholic?

Have you ever met or interacted with Byzantine Catholics? I live amongst a large population of Eastern Catholics and Eastern Orthodox -- one of the largest concentrations outside Eastern Europe and the Near East. Although as I wrote earlier, the Byzantines are closer to the Orthodox than to Latins, I also pointed out that some Byzantines call themselves "Orthodox in communion with the Papacy."

THAT makes all the difference.

Have you read the treaties of Brest or Uzghorod? Have you seen what little Rome required of the eastern Churches to enter into communion and be identified in the West as "Catholic"? Have you seen what Rome agreed to on her part?

In COMMUNION with the PAPACY!

I am reminded of a seminary professor at STAS, freshly ordained, who kept rdferring in speech and writing to the Syriac Maronite Catholic Church as the "Marianites". 🤦‍♂️
