They didn’t record any of this, did they? If so, how can I get it? A few of the conferences sound interesting, in particular, Finding Food in Unusual Places.

Most of the others are not exactly practical for a senior lady on her own who lives in an area not conducive to homesteading, legally, financially, politically! (Real estate law, enactment of eminent domain law, billions of $,$$$,$$$,$$$, the right connections)

The HOA, landlord, residents of surrounding flats particularly downstairs apartment, manure issue, zoning board won’t go for the cow, pig, goats, chickens…The horse in the parking garage or parking lot, grazing on the lawns, and manure problem again!

Even where I do live, there is food to be found. A few come immediately to mind. Dandelion leaves and blossoms, wild chives in the lawn, the tops and bulbs in place of onion and garlic. Pine needle sassafras tea man be made for medicinal purposes. I’m sure there are others, like mushrooms, but knowing very little about them, especially look-alikes, I wouldn’t dare eat them!
I don’t want to end up like the victims of the Australian woman who dispensed with her ex-in-laws!

Yes.  We are on our way there.  We will only be able to attend today, though.
Please share with us what you learned. 🤓

Salza/Siscoe/XavierFem Borat continues carrying water for the heretical Conciliar sect.
Not to mention that he hasn't even been given the title of Doctor yet AFAIK. It's only been announced that he will be given it some time in the future. She's probably just trying to push buttons..but should still, out of submission and respect to the Conciliar Church, refrain from calling Newman Doctor until Prevost formally gives him that title

  Newman pushed development of doctrine before and AFTER his conversion.

Due to his Anglican heresies, after his conversion, he should’ve been laicized.

Also, Pope St Pius X was one of a few who were orthodox in all of Rome.  He was utterly surrounded by modernists.  The whole argument that “Well, Pius X didn’t do anything so it must’ve been ok.”   He was outnumbered and outmanned.  He could only do so much.

Not only that, but Newman was absolutely notorious for producing incredible volumes of writing.  While others liked to hear themselves talk, Newman thought so highly of himself that he spewed out an estimated 50,000 pages of material, which I'm sure that St. Pius X had time to read.

Msgr. Fenton, well trained and orthodox Catholic theologian, denounced Newman on several points of doctrine ... bolstering Cardinal Manning's claim that he had read at least 10 heresies in the works of Newton.

Some of the earliest Modernists excommunicated by St. Pius X actually credited Newman for breaching the Church with these heresies.

Highly Recommended:

St. John Henry Newman: Doctor of the Church

False.  St. Pius X was reacting to a study by someone favorable to Newman and clearly had not read his entire body of works.  Just like all Modernists, they'll be orthodox on one page and heretical on the next, blending the two.  Msgr. Fenton wrote at length about Newman's errors.

6 Bishops from the British Isles denounced Newman for heresy to the Vatican.
Cardinal Manning (eminently orthodox) once said that he's found at least 10 heresies in the works of Newman.
Newman denied papal infallibility, one time even after it's definition, but then was forced to backtrack, but then in backgracking he minimized it to the point of meaninglessness, and still tied it to the assent of the Church.
Worst of all, while corresponding after the Council with those reluctant to accept its teaching, Newman advised them to accept a minimamlist understanding, and then bide their time until the Church's understanding on the matter developed ... to the point of eventually reversing the doctrine, thereby expressing one of the cornerstone principles of Modernism.

SSPX Resistance News / Re: Fr. Robinson: It’s All Valid, Trust Us!

A big issue with Fr Paul Robinson and his evolutionary views is not just the fact he was allowed to publish a book that one may read or not:  he teaches at the school.  Even though my daughter was already homeschooled at this point, she had friends in the school telling her that he was having a debate on the subject in his book.  Evidentially then he is pushing these ideas on the youth, much as Ladislas has mentioned regarding his experience with Jesuits (not all that long ago).  My own father was taught by Domincans in the 1950's that Scripture is just stories.

Who is protecting these young minds at the school?

Well, it's certaily not SSPX, who have endorsed the heresies of Reverend Robinson.

If you're talking about the livestream from August 17, that's Fr. Joseph Haynos. He was just transferred from Syracuse, NY.
Indeed tis he 😀

Fighting Errors in the Modern World / Re: Get prepared

Thank you for sharing you experiences especially with the arthritis.  I remember Hildegard von Bingen in her book Physica says that Spelt flour is better than normal wheat but that if you don't eat the whole grain together that it causes mucus (inflammation) in the body.

We recently started making 90% of our grain foods at home.  Just about every morning (Unless we have enough leftover) I grind fresh spelt flour and make bread, rolls, biscuits, pancakes, cookies, pizza dough or something with the whole spelt flour.  I generally don't add any white flour at all.

My husband was having some major health issues.  We changed our diet almost completely to homemade whole grains, fresh fruit, veggies and meat.  I also make around 4 gallons of kombucha and 4 gallons of half-power (watered down) fresh pressed lemonade every week.  It is amazing how much of a difference it has made for him.

Your bringing up horseback riding  reminds me of my youthful carefree days riding double bareback at full gallop with friends, making bridles out of hay twine and practicing standing and kneeling while on horseback.  I am not as flexible as I was before children though...  Now I generally stay on the ground and leap the ponies our children ride.  It probably doesn't help that since we have been married I have almost always been either pregnant or nursing a baby.  😅🤣
Hello! Regarding the spelt flour - what did you mean by "Spelt flour is better than normal wheat but that if you don't eat the whole grain together that it causes mucus (inflammation) in the body." We do try and use spelt flour or sourdough but for the time-being I am trying to avoid all of the grains. My sister-in-law passed on some of her Kombucha to me and while I was faithfully diligent for the first week or so, I then got lost in my "other" life and forgot about it. So now I simply buy it weekly from the Health shop. I'm rather a hopeless case in the kitchen and am blessed than none of our daughters takes after me :)  All of them are great cooks/bakers (case of necessity they joke!!). That's why I love perusing through the Home-schooling thread and  threads like it - my 'baby' has graduated so my home-schooling days have come to an end - but its nice to keep in touch and now that I have more time, learn from everyone especially when it come to cooking and crafts. Oh and I'm delighted to hear you used to ride! And bareback! That's impressive. I have found that its not so much the riding that's difficult these days, but the getting up!!!! Like yourself, gone are the days when you could just grab a handful of mane and leap! My children are more or less reared but I'm really looking forward to the grandchildren and yes, leading them around the field too! Thanks for that.
