Fr. Trevor Burfitt, Fr. James Doran (now a Maronite in Maine), Fr. Kevin Robinson, Fr. Adam Purdy, and Father Nicholas Gardner.
Fr. James Doran was an SSPX professor at Winona in '94-'97.  I looked up that Maronite chapel in Maine, no head coverings and the NO table.  https://sjmaronite.org/index.php/en-us/

The picture on top I found at the h0Ɩ0cαųst Encyclopedia.
The man to the left is Albanus Schachleiter, a Benedictine who got comfortable with Hitler pretty early, and was actually suspended for that.
The man to the right is Ludwig Müller, a Lutheran and leading member of the German Christians, a movement that "aligned towards the antisemitic, racist, and Führerprinzip ideological principles of nαzιsm with the goal to align German Protestantism as a whole towards those principles."
The picture on the bottom I found on Traces of Evil.
The man at the left border is Franz Rudolf Bornewasser, Roman Catholic bishop of Trier.
The man to the right of him is Ludwig Sebastian, Roman Catholic bishop of Speyer.
Both of these are said to have remained carefully critical of the nαzι regime.

Great points.  According to a paraphrase of the old adage, you can prepare as though everything depends on you while realizing that everything, including any ability / inclination you have to prep now, depends on God.  I've thought about what it would be like during a truly SHTF scenario.  If I have chickens in my backyard, and the general population are starving, how long before they're stolen?  Would I be willing to shoot desperate/starving people trying to steal them?  Do I have enough ammo?  Would they then come in a mob and simply attack and overwhelm me and my family?  If I'm running a generator while everyone else is without power, I will be noticed.  So, unless someone has some large acreage in the middle of nowhere, it would be prudent to find some low-key types of preps that would not be noticed and which could be hidden well.  I believe that gold/money would be worthess, since you can't eat them, and people would trade pounds of gold (if they had it) for a loaf of bread.  Cigarettes, IMO, would become the closest thing to a "currency" during such times.  In addition, the government has been known to outlaw "hoarding", to make gold illegal (confiscate it), etc.  So if things get bad enough, preps might be worthless.  You'd probably even have desperate starving crowds going out into the country looking for farm animals to kill.  I think that many preppers underestimate the amount of violence and "mob rule" that will come about when millions of people have missed a few days' worth of meals in a row.  I also believe that whatever scenario comes about will have been engineered by the government, and the government will set up some food distribution centers (after a lengthy period of mob rule), making it so that only those who have complied with various mandates (taking another jab) or social credit requirements are eligible to receive food.  Our perception about how people would behave when many millions are starving are probably not correct.  It'll probably look like the BLM/Antifa riots ... except they'll be ubiquitous and not just taking place in little pockets as they did before.  And if you have anything, you're much more likely to be targetted than if you're starving like everyone else.  Others have these fantasies that if they have enough guns and ammo they can fight off the crowds, but enough people coming at you at the same time, people desperate enough to risk their lives for food, will quickly overwhelm you, and if that doesn't work, they'll set your home on fire out of spite.  So the best thing would be to remain as hidden and "low-key" as possible with your preps.

Can you recommend a generator?  I need one for the upcoming Hurricane season.   I  have checked into the Generac generators that power your entire your entire home and flip on automatically.  The cost is way over my budget with installation, it’s $10,000.

I have also investigated some of the solar panel generators and the gas-fueled ones, especially the ones made by Honda. They are quite noisy and need to run outside. The thought of going 10 ten days or two weeks during the Florida summer is unbearable.

I find it suspicious that, as the original post was a refutation of Orthodox arguments, you change the topic to focus on something unrelated, yet playing into the arguments in favor of the eastern schismatics, even going so far as to echo their talking points.
LeDeg was involved in another thread a few months back, which was anti-papacy.  Your suspicions are justified.

That's how a regular practice of Catholic fasting can be thought of as a form of prepping too. The Holy Ghost's gift of fortitude is in part for times like these. ;)

Indeed.  People who aren't used to fasting could break down into violence within a day or two of going without food.

On the other hand, perhaps the best form of prepping is to put on weight.  If I were to put on an extra 200 pounds, I could probably go a year without eating.  :laugh1:  That is in fact the body's own prepping system.  AND, unless they want to cook you, carve you up, and eat you, they can't really take those preps away.  Not that I would normally want to live like that.

I think prepping is prudent if you are capable, just like you should prep for winter and spring when there will be little to no harvesting going on. Just don't rely on it as your salvation, because it can spoil and be stolen. So few people garden enough to rarely rely on grocery stores such that they'd need to save up a couple season's worth of food. What happens when disaster strikes and the stores run out and you only have 2 weeks of store bought food in the pantry/freezer in winter?

Thank you for putting in the caveat: if you are capable. I find it takes money, but even more it takes space. Where to put the stuff? I try to keep water in the house and canned meat is, I think, the best overall option. But I don't have room for months' and months' worth. Also I think it takes training. No one in their right mind would presuppose that he will be left alone to enjoy his stash. What could a person without training do amidst the chaos that would certainly ensue if the stores really did run out of money? No prepper will be left to himself. And if he is prepared to shoot to kill to defend his goods, how long could he hole up if people came in gangs?

If it comes to this, then it is a Divine intervention, and the good will suffer with the bad.

...many young traditional Catholic men be seduced by that religion, primarily due to the crisis in the Catholic Church today and charismatic orthobros exploiting that.

This is becoming a pandemic and a plague. Youtube is crawling with orthobro grifters.
