The Sacred: Catholic Liturgy, Chant, Prayers / Re: Novas Ordo Video

This priest comes off as highly arrogant and smug. I could only watch half of it.

Another thing I have to question about the globe model is why Antarctica does not experience a mild summertime like the Arctic? Since the Sun is proven to shift 23.5 degrees north and south throughout the year, equally casting its warmth and light to each "hemisphere", then the antipodes of the "globe" should have equivalent seasons.

But they don't. The Arctic experiences mild summers and harsh winters, but the Antarctic only experiences harsh winters year-round

Homey said, "Bullsh*t!" on the GE nonsense...

Where is super-genius M79?  Surely he has an opinion about FE/GE??  Has anyone ever met an intelligent man who had no opinion on an important matter?

Why don't any of his fan-boys hold his feet to the fire?  Why don't you?

Anσnymσus Posts Allowed / Re: The transfiguration
« Last post by Miser Peccator on Yesterday at 11:23:16 PM »
While the sacrifice of Calvary is absolutely essential to the Eucharistic Jesus, my understanding from saints and priests over the years is that because God is outside of time He is present at every age in the Holy Eucharist.

I don't know where to find quotes at this point, but I believe St Padre Pio saw a vision of the Christ Child in the Holy Eucharist and saw Christ in the womb which revealed to Him that Mary is also present in an important way.

My NO Catholic school teacher in the 70's would admonish us not to chew the Baby Jesus when we received the Eucharist.  :)

I heard a recent sermon explaining that the event of the Transfiguration was a way of showing us that Jesus was using considerable restraint to hide the truth of his nature behind His flesh while He was on earth.  If His nature was allowed to be revealed it would have beguiled and overwhelmed everyone just as it did Peter.

They said that indeed the Transfigured Christ is present in the Eucharist where He is hidden behind the appearance of bread and if His flesh was truly revealed it would have the same level of amazing glowingness as the actual Transfiguration.

But blessed are those who believe who have not seen. ;)

He says that he wishes that they would bind under pain of sin because he knows that would basically solve his problem. Apparently he has asked a couple times if he could take a vow of obedience (so that he wouldn't worry about the repercussion for not following his own conscience) but they told him not to.
But that's the root of the problem: He is trying to run the show. No matter what he says or even thinks he's doing, he is NOT actually listening. It's like he's trying to be the 4 star general and he isn't even a buck-private.
Don't be fooled, the root of this is fear. He's afraid to let God be in charge and he's afraid to be the ignorant peon, because maybe this, maybe that, maybe the other thing, etc., etc. etc. ad nauseum. It's all a lie so that he can be in charge.

This is addressed directly to him (best I can do without being face to face):

You need to shut up and quit listening to your own opinion because your opinion is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!!!

You are nothing but SLIME before God and can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR YOURSELF!!!

SO QUIT AGONIZING OVER EVERY DAMN LITTLE THING THAT ENTERS YOUR HEAD.

DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT YOU'RE SO
SPECIAL THAT GOD NEEDS YOU TO DO HIS JOB?
YOU'RE NOT.

HE'S NOT OUT TO GET YOU, TO FIND SOME LITTLE THING THAT HE CAN HOLD AGAINST YOU, HE WANTS TO SAVE YOU, SO SIT YOUR STUPID BUTT DOWN, AND ACTUALLY LISTEN TO GOD INSTEAD OF YOURSELF FOR A CHANGE. BE CONTENT TO BE STUPID BEFORE GOD BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT GOING TO IMPRESS HIM.

AND WHEN YOU GO TO CONFESSION AND THE PRIEST SAYS:
"Ego te absolvo...", ACTUALLY ACCEPT THAT YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN, NO MATTER WHAT YOU FEEL OR THINK.

The Earth God Made - Flat Earth, Geocentrism / Re: Sun and Earth
« Last post by DigitalLogos on Yesterday at 10:17:12 PM »
This guy's ideas are extremely interesting, kind of "out there" but not unreasonable. For example, the moon as a plasma projection of the flat earth (in negative) on the Firmament.

…read the names of your enemies: https://maloneinstitute.org/wef

Put your name in public opposition to them...or dost thou lack the balls?  If so, just go away and leave God to a wise use of other, more-courageous instruments.  Thank you for your service.  Now, piss off.

SSPX Resistance News / Re: St. Michael's Church Sacramento CA
« Last post by Incredulous on Yesterday at 10:09:42 PM »
I'm a little hesitant about calling since I'm not really familiar with SSPX. It's not for me, but for someone I know who lives in California. It's the closest traditional church the person has in the area.

There’s an independent TLM chapel in Santa Clara (Homestead/Benton) called Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Father Gregory Foley (ex-SSPX) is the celebrant.  I believe the Mass times are 9:00 and 11:00.

Crisis in the Church / Re: SSPX silence on latest Bergolio scandal
« Last post by Ladislaus on Yesterday at 10:08:26 PM »
Our SSPX priest here had been condemning him from the pulpit for the past 2 weeks. Also there's this:

Oh, sure, you'll get a rogue SSPX priest here or there going off the reservation.  Is this an older priest (i.e. 45+)?  They are the most likely to retain the spirit of the classic SSPX.

But SSPX have officially gone silent about Bergoglio, giving him a pass for pretty much every heresy and scandal since he gave them their "Year of Mercy" surprise.

Just a few thoughts:

He simply must stop the junk food if he wants to get well. It weakens the will.

It isn't enough for a man to help with odd jobs around the house. He ought to go out to help others. Helping out a struggling farmer for example.

Don't assume that professional help is a psychologist. I would rather recommend a homeopath, as they take a holistic approach which is rarely found in other helping professions.

Thanks for posting this. I will try and listen later. It still does not explain the SSPX “leadership” sticking their heads in the sand and ignoring Bergolio’s crimes against the faith. Yes, the SSPX is covering for Bergolio; there is no doubt about it.
