    We got what we needed.
    Thank you, Patriots!
    Senate means everything.
    Think Judges (SC) & Cabinet.
DECLAS overrides all potential House blockades.
    POTUS has ultimate authority.
Shift to Senate Judiciary (oversight) from House to
now occur (stronger position and held in reserve for this scenario).
Lower chamber (House) used as 2-year starter.
Upper chamber (Senate) will be used next 2-year closer.

    No impact re: ongoing investigations

    Jurisdiction
In addition to its critical role in providing oversight of the Department of Justice and the agencies under the Department's jurisdiction, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Homeland Security, the Judiciary Committee plays an important role in the consideration of nominations and pending legislation.

Executive nominations for positions in the Department of Justice, Office of National Drug Control Policy, the United States Parole Commission, the United States Sentencing Commission, and the State Justice Institute, as well as select nominations for the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Commerce are referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The Judiciary Committee is also charged with the consideration of all Article III judicial nominations.  These include Supreme Court nominations, appellate court nominations, and district court nominations.  The Committee also considers nominations to the Court of International Trade.

In addition to its role in conducting oversight and consideration of nominations, the Senate Judiciary Committee also considers legislation, resolutions, messages, petitions, memorials and other matters, as provided for in the Standing Rules of the Senate.  These areas include:

    • Apportionment of Representatives
    • Bankruptcy, mutiny, espionage, and counterfeiting
    • Civil liberties
    • Constitutional amendments
    • Federal courts and judges
    • Government information
    • Holidays and celebrations
    • Immigration and naturalization
    • Interstate compacts generally
    • Judicial proceedings, civil and criminal, generally
    • Local courts in territories and possessions
    • Measures relating to claims against the United States
    • National penitentiaries
    • Patent Office
    • Patents, copyrights, and trademarks
    • Protection of trade and commerce against unlawful restraints and monopolies

Goodlatte, Gowdy Reach Agreement with the Department of Justice

Washington, D.C. — Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) released the following statement after reaching an agreement with Department of Justice (DOJ) Assistant Attorney General Stephen E. Boyd and United States Attorney John Lausch to review and obtain documents and information pursuant to the Committees’ joint investigation into decisions made in 2016 and 2017.
“The Committees have reached an agreement with the Department of Justice to access the documents we have been requesting for months. We look forward to reviewing the information to better understand the decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to preserve the integrity of our justice system by ensuring transparency and accountability of actions taken.”
    Background:
    • In October 2017, the Committees opened a joint investigation into the decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017.
    • In December 2017, the Committees sent a follow-up letter requesting documents and information regarding the FBI’s decision making in 2016 and 2017.
    • On March 22, the House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena to the Department of Justice for documents pursuant to the Committees’ joint investigation.
    • On April 11, Chairman Goodlatte and Chairman Gowdy met with U.S. Attorney John Lausch to discuss the Committees’ access to documents related to our joint investigation.

NOTE: Gowdy has resigned from the House at the end of this term in January 2019, and he plans be work for the Department of Justice.

  • Analysis:

Democrats did not expect that President Trump would make so many appearances
in huge rallies across the USA. As a result of these rallies, the MSM-expected
blue wave never materialized. Incredibly with limited time, resources and money,
POTUS did a great job as keeping the Senate, which experienced a red wave of
GOP support. Not only did the GOP keep the Senate, but they also garnered
a few extra wonderful men and women.

President Trump is not upset with the loss of the House. He may be disappointed,
but he is not upset.  Actually, this is all happening according to the plan:
    * Keep control of the Senate and increase the membership of good GOP Senators.
    * Increase the base of GOP Governors who play a key role in appointing U.S. Senators
and Representatives should they suddenly resign, retire due to health problems,
be convicted of a serious crime and be incarcerated, or die in office.
    * Minimize House losses and promote good GOP Representatives.

The President plans to DECLASS the FISA documents as soon as possible. This act
will cause many more in the FBI and DOJ to resign. In addition, there have been criminal
grand juries which have already handed down thousands of indictments. Many will be
convicted and imprisoned for leaking classified information, espionage, engaging in
pedophilia and child sex trafficking, etc. Others who have been cooperating with the
federal investigations will receive lesser sentences.

We need to have patience. We are winning this battle. God Bless the USA.

    Lord have mercy.

    We are at war.
    Think logically.

Why was winning the House majority the primary goal for
    them?
To this point, what chamber is currently directing the
    DOJ/FBI investigations?
To this point, what chamber do they feel most threatened
    by?
While the focus was on the House for them (due to above),
our underlying focus was adding PRO_POTUS members
to the Senate and safely securing a PRO_MAJORITY.

THE SENATE IS WORTH SO MUCH MORE.

THE SENATE CONTROLS JUDGES & CABINET
    POSITIONS W/O HOUSE APPROVAL.
THE SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE HAS DIRECT
    OVERSIGHT OVER THE DOJ&FBI
    [MORE POWER THAN THE HOUSE].

While we had a senate majority on paper, in reality, we
never did, nor could we count on bringing investigations
to that body until it was safely in our full control.

THE SENATE WAS ALWAYS THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE.
    Moves & countermoves.
We defied history by picking up Senate seats.
    Patriots delivered.
    Disinfo is necessary.
    Enemy at the front door.

Our attempt at reassurance re: last drops
re: House >>> Senate backed by POTUS tweet directly
thereafter stating the same thing should have put this to
    bed.
How many coincidences before it's mathematically
    impossible?
Do you think the current 'shill' attack is organic?
    Buckle up.

  • This is highly surprising.  I thought the intention was to have Trump and Sessions APPEAR to bicker so that when Sessions started indicting people (i.e. democrats), the public would accept these actions as 'independent' and 'bipartisan' and the story wouldn't be "Trump/Session indict democrats" but "(Independent) Sessions of the DOJ indicts Democrats"?  What do I know?...

I wish.  I think that some Trump devotees have been too busy trying to ascribe "4D Chess" maneuvering to all of Trump's activities.  Sometimes I think he's just rather impulsive.

  • Trump is an actor.  I think that the disputes between Trump and Sessions were a form of bantering popular among Jews.

However, in the coming days, with increasing indictments and arrests, It could be that Sessions doesn't want to be part of the chaos which will occur when the mass arrests begin as he was close to some of those in the DOJ and FBI who have been fired, indicted, or asked to resign.

Another question. Did Trump ask Sessions to resign, or was it Kelly's idea? It was reported that Kelly had previously asked Sessions to resign.

Is Trump, by nature, impulsive?  Probably.  Are his advisors likely to be?  No.  So there's so hope that this was all planned out.  It was rumored months ago that Sessions might leave after the midterms.

I've heard that Sessions will run for his former Senate seat in Alabama in 2020.  Has 2 years to campaign to kick out a Democrat that barely won, while Sessions is a household name there.  Adding another Republican to the Senate?  Yes, please.

Who could be the long-term replacement for Sessions?  Who retired from Congress this summer and said he wanted to return to "the justice system"?  Who was critical of the FBI for NOT bringing charges on Hillary over her private server?  Who put Hillary on trial in the Benghazi fiasco and made her squirm during cross examination?  Trey Gowdy.

  • From Breitbart: Key excerpts

Mr. Adams shares some of the reasons behind Trump's demand for Session's resignation.

    J. Christian Adams: Next Attorney General Must Have DOJ Experience to Clean Up the Institutional Corruption

    By Robert Kraychik

    8 Nov 2018

    J. Christian Adams, a former Department of Justice (DOJ) official, told Breitbart News Tonight that President Donald Trump’s next attorney general should be someone with DOJ experience who knows what needs to be done to clean up the department’s institutional corruption.

    ...

Adams recalled, “I go back to the original press conference where Sessions recused himself [from overseeing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia collusion investigation]. If you were to go watch that, you would see something very interesting happen. He immediately referred to his chief of staff, Jody Hunt. I know Jody Hunt. I’ve had some dealings with him. … [Session] said how Jody Hunt is a long-time career employee at the Justice Department, and he almost used him like a prop, like, ‘Hey, look how fair and impartial I am because Jody Hunt is here.’ Jody Hunt survived the Obama years. He was a top leader inside the Holder Justice Department, and the way Sessions [put] Jody Hunt out there at that presser really disturbed me, because it told me that Jody Hunt had an inordinate amount of power inside the attorney general’s office.”
    ...

Adams said, “Rosenstein gets appointed and Rosenstein effectively runs the Mueller investigation, and I have sourcing inside Rosenstein’s world and office that basically [confirms that] all these deputies inside of Rosenstein’s office who are leftists, Soros fellows. Literally, one of them is a Soros scholar, and they essentially had sharp elbows, and any time anybody tried to do anything to that [Mueller] investigation — basically make it behave, not even shut it down, but make it play by the rules — these guys would kick and scream and threaten, and that’s really where the problem was. By August [the Mueller investigation] was untenable, because Rosenstein had been given too much freedom.”

Adams said the key to cleaning up the Justice Department’s excesses is for Trump to appoint someone who understands the institutional problems within DOJ and can therefore reform it and root out the “careerists” who are not truly “Constitutionalists.”  ...
    Lord have mercy.
