Sorry, but I hate when "Christians" say they shouldn't get involved w/ "politics" or what I call generally "the public forum"
they think it is somehow evil or maybe beneath them or both to run for office. True, i wouldn't want to run for office either, mostly bc I don't have the millions it takes to do that. But also, I am a private person and don't want the whole world knowing this/that about me.. although in this day and age with all the technological "advances" maybe that's moot anyway?
In any case, I can u/stand why a Christian would not want to be involved w/ the ugly thing known as politics. But when you don't get involved, "un-Christian" things happen.. like the baker who was forced to jettison his Christian beliefs or lose his business and I could give example after example.
Catholics, please get involved. We Catholics know more about God than anyone (assuming you go to Mass at least on Sunday, etc). We have to let God rule in the public forum.. otherwise the devil wins by default.
As they say in the 12 step program
Thanks for listening
oh, i forgot: You can start by joining the school board. I may just take my own advice there.. The problem is, although I have been walking w/ Jesus (and his Church) for many yrs now, I had a very sinful past.. but you know, if we were to judge people by their past, no one would be on the school board.. eh? no one except Franklin Graham.. Cardinal Burke.. :-\
