Then all those who do not have catastrophic health issues (cancer, HIV..) could be in the private sector and the poor and lower-income income people could get some kind of.. well, they already get Medicaid, presumably... The middle class or lower middle class could get those tax credits they speak of, something I do not understand the details of. The news folks only tell you waht they want to tell you, it seems.

I wish people on the news would go into more detail about this kind of stuff. But in any case, I don't know why that is so hard to do, put people w/ seroius, pre-existing health issues on Medicaid.

umm... I wonder who would define "catastrophic"...

but in any case, this seems like a good idea that I do not hear  being talked about in DC

  • Healthcare was affordable long before Medicaid.  Government controlled healthcare is communism.  There are so many healthy men on Medicaid who refuse to work.  Doctors and hospitals are all about money and take advantage of insurance companies.  The whole thing is a racket.

And many people die before getting first social security check. People don't need the government to save their money.

The government is so incompetent that it is trillions of dollars in debt.

Welfare is a big a abuse.  These people can now use welfare cash for Amazon.com while their children are on free breakfast and lunch programs.

May God bless you and keep you

  • And next they are working to do away with cash so they can control people.

The policians are working hard to sɛҳuąƖly groom school children.
May God bless you and keep you

i agree, but no one should have all their savings wiped out b/c of cancer and its treatment
people cannot help the genes they inherit. I am not saying the govt should do single payer.. not by a long shot. I would first repeal O/care PERIOD. Then I would work on changing laws that discriminate (or whatever word you use) against those with "bad genes"
I would take the money out of infrastructure, esp the most un-needed kind: interstate highways! They are the best highways of all. It is the non-interstate  roads that often need work, but that should not be done by the folks in WA either. Hardly anything should be done by the federal govt.
just military and--can't think of the other thing... things like the Wall, which i hope gets built soon. That is the kind of infrastructure we need to wrok on b/c of illegals and their (not all but some) lawlesness... We can barely take care of our own and with a huge Debt, we cannot afford to keep letting these people come in and live off our system.. So yeh.. the wall but no other infrastructure unless some airport buildings are literally falling to pieces or whatever...

  • It should be: people first-- before such things as "infrastructure" which some interpret to mean: spend more taxpayer money even if it is not needed

I think everyone should pay, say at least 1% of their income on health insurance. If you have a pre-existing condition, maybe the govt should help you if you are low-income. I don't know. But we want our citizens to be healthy. Our roads can be "unhealthy" and it is no big deal. You just drive around the crater in the road.. LOL. Or you can slow down. But if you have cancer, well, that is quite another story.

  • I am sure the Democrats would go along with that idea. But another idea is that everyone could pay 1 or 2 % of their income on some kind of basic health insurance policy, and the insurance companies could be forced to accept people who, b/c of hteir income, would only be paying something iike $10 a month? The dang insurance companies would get paid b/c of the other people who pay so much more than that (yet still only pay 1 or 2 % of their income on a policy)

I think that's a good idea. Tell me where i am wrong...

(some people here will undoubtedly be staying up all night and half the morning attempting to do just that. People love to find other people "wrong"... one of the sick things that happened, apparently, when we fell from grace ... Adam and Eve if you don't get my drift)

those on Disability.. you know, we could just get rid of Medicaid by cutting the Disability checks by 1% if we did this. But the Disabled would not be losing anything (just $7 or $8 a month). They would be gaining good health care, the same kind of care the rich get.

yes, get rid of Medicaid. Wouldn't that be great? Everyone getting the same level of care? I think I should run for Congress, don't you?  :-\
