I must say -- he convinced me that Mitt Romney is better than Obama. Of course, that isn't saying much!

    In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.
     
    He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.  Thie Olympic Games were in serious trouble,
    facing failure or cancellation when  Romney took over and turned it around.
     
    In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.
    At the close of fiscal year 2006, the rainy day fund enjoyed a $2.155 billion balance.
    Some Interesting Facts about Romney:  Bain Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts,
    turned it into Staples; now with more than 2,000 stores, and employing 90,000 people.
    Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like
    Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot
    Supply, and many others.
    He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.
    He was an unpaid intern in his dad's governor's office for eight years.
    He was an unpaid bishop and stake president in his local church organization for ten years.
    He was an unpaid president of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.
    He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years.
    He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.
    Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country, but has given more back to its citizens

    And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income.
     
    Just for comparison purposes, Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

    He will show us his birth certificate
    He will show us his high school and college transcripts.
    He will show us his social security card.
    He will show us his law degree.  
    He will show us his draft notice.  
    He will show us his medical records.
    He will show us his income tax records.
    He will show us he has nothing to hide.
    Mitt Romney's background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and
    an excellent citizen for President of the United States.
    You may think that Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected.
    At least we know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers,
    or practice fiscal irresponsibility.
     
    We know he has the ability to turn around the financial debacle that the current regime has gotten us into.
    We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this economic crisis and our nearly insurmountable debt,
    but someone with Romney's background can do it.
     
    But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer," never took drugs or smoked pot,
    never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church  whose pastor
    called for God to damn the US.
     
     In the coming presidential election there simply is no comparison.   Can anyone really be confused or in doubt.  
     Who to support and vote for in this election is a no-brainer.
     
    As the current saying goes:  If you voted for Obama in the last election to prove you were not a racist,
    surely you will vote against him in this election to prove you are not an idiot.

It seems that the best way to put it is that the Republicans are mensheviks, they want socialism now & eventually communism. They are willing to go about imposing it gradually, whilst Bongo & the Democrats are rabid Bolsheviks who want full-out communism right now. Or to put it another way, as so many others have written, the Republicans are Trotskyites, the Democrats are Stalinists. Anyhow Rowsofvoices has got it right, the U.S. is doomed regardless of the results of the "election".

I don't really see how Republicans want communism. Even neo-cons who are former Trotskyites, socialists, leftists, and liberals support free trade, the spreading of democracy, and free market capitalism to further their own interests. Also Stalin supported a more 'national' variant of communism, which is why Trotskyites turned against Stalin, because he was against Trotsky's ideology of a premanent revolution, while these days neo-cons support a premanent revolution of democracy in their own 'all or nothing' Enlightenment concepts of the world. Of course it is great irony that during the Cold War Jєωs dominated America's opinion with respect to Russian matters. This is not to say that Stalin was a good guy, he was one of the most evil men in history, but it is interesting how the Jєωs came to hate him.

Neo-cons don't care at all about social issues. They think conservatives should give up on them and let the Left claim victory.

However neo-cons to me support free trade because it helps out the Corporate Street types who pay the party finances during election time.
