    I don't know much about Ron Paul, Rand's father but I believe he is an isolationist and it looks like Rand is also. But you know, assuming that's so... looks like the apple needs to fall a little further from the tree if said tree is not in great health... Rand was on Fox yesterday talking about why he won't support Trump's nominees for CIA or Sec of State. He says the nominee for CIA (can't recall her name at the moment) was in favor of “torture” aka: water-boarding.

    It looks like Rand has been listening to the liberals a little too often (one of the worst occupational hazards of being a member of Congress). Water-boarding is NOT torture. And even if some insist that it is.. well, have you ever heard of anyone dying from it?

    I haven't. And it got us (the USA) a lot of info from terrorists. I mean, let's get real, these are people who torture themselves! They run planes into buildings, knowing they will die a fiery, painful death! They wear ѕυιcιdє vests and blow themselves and others up... and we are supposed to cringe in righteous indignation over water-boarding them? Right.

    Yes, I know, we are supposed to be “better than that”... not on the same level.

    Please.

    You know.. all humans are on the same level regardless, bc we are human—all of us sinners, no matter how many times a week we go to Church or whatever.

    I hope those who protest water-boarding are not doing that just because they have a psychological need to feel superior to others?

    So anyway, where was I?

    This woman Trump wants for CIA has a lot of experience. Rand Paul is being ridiculous...

    Rand also says we shouldn't have gone to Iraq. Tell that to the first democratic leaders of that country after Saddam was overthrown. Tell that to the oppressed, once-tormented, once-living-in-dread-fear citizens of Iraq!

    Remember the Iraqis, after Bush sent US troops there... stomping on the statue of Saddam Hussein? He was torturing every other citizen  who even looked cross-eyed at his thugs..

    We cannot forget that fighting for democracy over there means preserving it HERE. Do we want to be a democracy surrounded by extremist Islamists? Well, that is what would happen if we shrugged our shoulders at the oppression, mayhem and murder going on in other countries and said “Oh well, that's their problem.” That is exactly what the extremists and terrorists want. That is essentially what Obama did and that is why we have such dangers in the world today. Iran and North Korea help each other get nuclear weapons. Russia is also connected with Iran & other Muslim countries...

    Reagan was wrong not to counter-attack when the extremist Muslims killed the US Marines in Beirut... I can't even comprehend why someone like Reagan would do that! You expect the liberal presidents to do that kind of cowardly stuff, but Reagan?!

    If he had retaliated, we would not have the terrorist problems we have today.

    Civilized people do not want war. The problem is, there are so many un-civilized countries in the world... some of which chant regularly, over and over ad nauseum “Death to the US”... “Death to Israel”
