yes, it looks to me like the Rs just want to .. OK, wait, not all of them.. SOME want to essentially do their own version of Ocare. They want to maintain govt control, apparently.

I mean, it seems to me that the most "Republican thing to do" would be to just REPEAL Obamacare. Then they could pass legislation in the future having to do with healthcare that improves things.

I think (If  I am not mistaken) that was what Rand Paul and others wanted?

Any moron knows that if you allow people in the pool who have pre-existing issues or catastrophic issues (cancer) you are going to have higher rates for everyone. I don't know who has the best ideas. It seems we are not being told much. I mean, for one thing, who has time to sit and read the entire Wall Street Journal? Who has time to watch Fox News for hours on end?

the rich

that's a scary thought.. that only the wealthy can afford to be well-informed (and/or maybe those who are "on welfare" and can watch TV more often)

  • unbelievable there is not one response here. I guess no one here cares what happens to our healthcare system? until it directly affects you, that is---

well, it will directly affect you soon enough. I totally agree w/ Rand Paul on healthcare. I may vote for him if he runs again. I don't know. I like what TRump is doing and agree with him most of the time but from what I can ascertain so far, I may not agree w/ him on h/care. The reason I say "may not" is b/c i don't even know what all  the AHCA SAYS, so kinda hard to comment on it.

In any case, it looks to me like DC is just trying to maintain control of the healthcare system. Otherwise, they would just toss out Obamacare entirely and start from scratch or something. How do we know that maybe the R and Ds were in cahoots on h/care from the very beginning? I mean, you know.. we imagine a smoke-filled room.

D says "Let's pass a socialized medicine bill" R says "Yeh, we can always tweak it later so it doesn't look so socialistic"

Nancy Peℓσѕι chimes in: "Yeh, we can pass it before we read it. The American people are too busy working their butts off to notice anyway"

R says: "Yeh, and then when we tweak it.. assuming we get control of the White House, we can just hang on to a lot of Obamacare and change a few things here and there and voila'-- the people will just think that they won and we [in DC] can maintain control of the  system and well... people will be too busy working their butts off to notice.. or do anything about it

I mean, you know.. you can't help what thoughts come to you... This is not an unrealistic scenario. I am sure others think this as well, think that the R and Ds are possibly in cahoots and have been from the beginning? God knows, but---

when it comes to Americans concerning themselves w/ these issues (never mind doing something about it)... well,

most people are too busy working their butts off-----
