To me, about the only thing positive about Neil Gorsuch, aside from some of his past good court decisions (not trying to take away from that at all) is the fact that the Democrats don’t “like him,” which really just means they won’t vote for him because Trump nominated him and they’re still throwing a temper tantrum over the election

The fact that the Democrats aren’t voting for him (save Manchin, Heidkamp and Donnelly and maybe one other so-called “Democrats”) makes me think…

maybe I shouldn’t post this message… ? I don’t know.. just another DC story we are confused about…

I will post it just the same, because my anxieties about this topic and the country in general… have not been… ameliorated in the slightest by the media accounts thereof..

Neil Gorsuch has said things that do not sound  pro-life. And we have seen several Sup Ct justices in the past who turned liberal on us.

The president, along with something like 70% of Americans are pro-life, or at least they are to one “degree” or another—although OBJECTIVELY speaking (so few  speak objectively anymore), as regards that “to some degree” stuff:  We  either believe (know) that the unborn are human beings, and therefore worthy of society's protection, or we believe they are not..

There is no gray area there, it's one or the other.  The age of a person does NOT matter (when we speak objectively). A person who is 40 yrs old is obviously not more worthy of society's protection than a 2 year old. Yet age discrimination has always been part of this political game we play when speaking of those who live inside the womb—and  of course die  in the womb (by the millions),  allowed to be killed for “stupid” reasons:  because of their age and/or place of residence…

So I don't know why all the Republicans in WA are so bent on getting Gorsuch through?? (We know why the Ds reject him.. they  just hate Trump and all things Trump or within 50 miles of him)

I was very surprised to see one of Fox News' commentators/anchors, who is also a lawyer echo my  own thoughts and concerns  RE Gorsuch today. I wish I could recall verbatim what he said ( I will try to find a link. ), but it was soemthing along the lines of what I just said (wrote), namely that Gorsuch is not someone the Ds should see as “too conservative.”

It seems this anchor/lawyer on Fox isn't too keen on Gorsuch either.. (or that was MY take anyhow)

His name is  Greg Jarrett—always one of my FNC favorites

Gorsuch has said that Roe v Wade is the law of the land!!

     What?

For one thing, NEWSFLASH!  The Sup Ct is not God—which I know that's a shocker for some people but it's true. It is bad enough that no decision, or rarely any decision made by the Sup Ct is reversed. The Sup Ct is called the Court of Last Resort. But are we supposed to just accept that because the Sup Ct says murder is OK, it is OK?

God is the Court of Last Resort. We will all find that out Some Day when the grim reaper shows up..

Dred Scott, the decision that basically said Blacks are  not American citizens, and have no legal rights, was over-turned—tossed onto the trash heap of history, never to return.

So, Roe v W can also be overturned. That is what we Christians and people of good will are going to  fight for. Whatever charity you now contribute to, or are considering contributing to... I can’t help thinking that there are few issues  more important than life or death.

Write to your Representatives in DC and let them know how much you hate Roe v Wade, which legalized child murder.

The powerless and helpless need us to stand up for them.

Yet, when we stand for them, we also stand for ourselves...

The life you save may be your own:  Some day when you are “too old to be of much use to society” it is not beyond the realm of probability that the great “They” will decide  your life also is not worth living.

Many of us say that day has arrived. It is called Dr-assisted ѕυιcιdє. And some “ѕυιcιdєs” under these new Dr-assisted ѕυιcιdє laws (WA, OR...) were not ѕυιcιdє, but murder... (I have read up on a few cases.. where family members wanted the person dead, not the "health-compromised" person himself. It’s nαzι Germany all over again)

  • no one has an opinion on this?

are you waiting to see what the media says about it?

    ha ha to that

the media cannot be fully trusted. Everyone has strong opinions about politics and therefor everyone (virtually everyone) in the media (just like everywhere else)  is going to,  subsequently, use bullying tactics, subtle or otherwise, to "make you" believe what they want you to beleive-- even if they belong to some reputable media conglomerate (ha ha to that term) and should be dealing in facts primarily ..

and  ha ha to that as well   :laugh2:

do you really think such folks as Anderson Cooper knows much more about "things" than... say someone like yours truly who is comparatively speaking well-informed? And at least i have morals, go to Church, am Catholic

    he is gαy

  • It's been almost 15 months since Antonin Scalia's passing. This is way too long to go without a ninth justice, there should've been a replacement in the summer.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...
