Did you see the debates this past Tuesday?
I thought that Fox Business did a good job of keeping the questions relevant and not unfairly dumping loaded questions on particular candidates.
After it was over, there was a post-debate interview area where one of the moderators sat down with individual debate members. They spoke to three or four of them (including Jeb Bush), while showing a backdrop of the goings-on in the debate room (which was a location some distance away from the interview studio).
So the interview studio had two people in it, the debate member and the moderator. But they used something like a blue screen technique to show the live feed in the background as if they were having this interview in the balcony of the debate forum itself, even though that was a different room in reality.
While the moderator was talking to Bush, a young man on the debate live feed floor came walking over near the camera holding his sign that said "Jeb Bush" as if to identify the location in the room where Bush was. But Bush was not in that room!
While I was watching all this surreal stuff, it became eye-catching to me to see all the microphone booms and cameras pointing in one direction, off to the right of where Bush was seated (in the backdrop behind Bush). Effectively, Bush was facing to the left, toward the interviewer, and behind him was seen the background of journalists in the debate forum floor (live feed) all facing to the right, pointing cameras and holding microphones, but you could NOT see who it was they were looking at and trying to get pictures of and audio from. They even used two camera angles in the interview studio, changing the backdrop with similarly coordinated two camera angles. It was an obvious effort to make it look as though the interview was taking place in the debate forum. But they had SAID at the beginning of the interview that they were located a few hundred yards away from where the debates had taken place.
While I watched for some clue as to who was the focus of media attention in the debate floor area (seen by live feed in the background), I got one glimpse of Donald Trump before they quickly changed to the other camera so Trump would not be visible. They kept Trump behind the head and torso of Jeb Bush in the studio background, or else off camera to the right side. Even so, all the while the moderator was talking to Bush, you could see that the media was very much focused on someone else entirely, but you couldn't see who it was.
Only at the very end of the Bush interview was it shown that the subject of interest in the debate forum was the candidate standing near the ID sign that was held up, which said "Trump."
