DAILYKENN.com  (http://www.dailykenn.com/)--Illegal aliens will have the right to vote in local elections if the US House of Representatives has its way.

The vast majority of illegal aliens are non-whites and non-whites overwhelmingly support the far-left Democratic Party.

Rather than suffing ballot boxes, Democrats are "stuffing" voter rosters.

From ▼washingtontimes.com (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/mar/8/house-votes-favor-illegal-immigrant-voting/)

House Democrats voted Friday to defend localities that allow illegal immigrants to vote in their elections, turning back a GOP attempt to discourage the practice.

The vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber — then under GOP control — voted to decry illegal immigrant voting.

“We are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in,” Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and hero of the civil rights movement, told colleagues as he led opposition to the GOP measure.

The 228-197 vote came as part of a broader debate on Democrats’ major legislative priority this year, HR 1, the “For the People Act,” which includes historic expansions of voter registration and access, as well as a major rewrite of campaign finance laws.

Non-citizen?  Does that mean anyone in the world can vote?!  Ha!  Who knows!  How long will it take to count votes?!

Except that it doesn't. (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/hr1-democrats-immigrants-vote/)

H.R. 1 is linked above and it doesn't allow for that. It seems to be more focused on reforming campaign finance (which is excellent).

The measure would have had no practical effect even if it had passed. Illegal immigrants — and indeed noncitizens as a whole — are not legally able to participate in federal elections.

The real truth:

In 2018 midterms thousands of illegal immigrants voted and was the cause of the lost of many Republican Representatives
seats. If this happens again in 2020 we will be ruled by a one party state with no effective opposition.

Republicans lost seats because the party in power loses seats in every midterm election.

Under Barack Obama, The Democrats got their butt kicked (https://www.quorum.us/data-driven-insights/under-obama-democrats-suffer-largest-loss-in-power-since-eisenhower/291/), and under Donald Trump, Republicans also lost a lot of seats (https://medium.com/@marcushjohnson/why-does-the-presidents-party-lose-seats-in-the-midterm-elections-ee84760a69ae). It's nothing new. Non-citizens cannot vote, period.

There HAS been legislation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_of_foreigners_to_vote_in_the_United_States) proposed that would allow non-citizens (not necessarily illegal immigrants, but any type of U.S. visa holder or foreign national)  to vote, but it has only ever been for local elections — city elections at that, so something much lower than federal. Non-citizens cannot vote for president, or U.S. legislature.

In addition (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_of_foreigners_to_vote), there actually are places that allow non-citizens of that country to vote, namely if they're a citizen of a collective union like the EU or the Commonwealth of Nations (former British colonies and the United Kingdom proper). But the United States is not one of them. It seems to have allowed it on a state by state basis, which each state being the arbiter of whether voting rights are for full citizens or just people who've lived there long enough to establish residency. By 1996 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal_Immigration_Reform_and_Immigrant_Responsibility_Act_of_1996), this changed nationally.

This happened all over the U.S. especially in sanctuary cities and states and all favor extreme leftists
Democrats.

The only conscience Liberals have is winning elections no matter what, and installing a bolshevik communist
system that failed in the old soviet union.

I was not the one that thumb your post down.

I used to live in the US. Now I evidently live in Bizzaro-land.
