  • I don't think many Cathinfo members in the US would have trouble passing this, but it's fun to see if you can get them all right.

    I got 46/50.

  • I got 48/50.

Since there were some REALLY stupid questions there, I feel the need to mention which ones I missed! hahaha

For the question "What happened on September 11, 2001" I chose "The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor". JUST KIDDING!!! hahaha
(I'll admit, though, they were both fαℓѕє fℓαg attacks. 9/11 was just Pearl Harbor for a new generation) I was actually looking for the REAL answer, "The government destroyed the Twin Towers using thermite/small nuclear charges" but I knew what answer they were looking for.

    ANYHOW...

I missed the question about "If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?"

Let's see -- that's never happened, so it's an easy one to miss.

    The other one I missed:

"The Federalist Papers supported the passage of the U.S. Constitution. Name one of the writers."

Not familiar with the Federalist papers. You got me on that one.

Considering I graduated high school almost 20 years ago, and a lot of this is pretty academic, I'm OK with my score :)

  • It has been years since I took a Civic Lesson. I got 30 out 50 correct and
passed, I remember my civic lessons test were much more harder and
answers had to be written out in long hand with an ink cartridge pen.

I can't say with a straight face that you haven't watched enough disaster movies to know this.  :tv-disturbed:

Usually the President survives, or else pretty much none of them survive and just a small cabal of government officials rides out the storm in a bunker installation in Cuba, a mountain in Colorado, etc. and then they reveal themselves to the world years later...

  • I got 48/50, however, I didn't read no. 22 too closely and thought it said "Continental Congress" and I clicked Declaration of Independence as I was reading the question but realized what I was doing and right away clicked Constitution but it was too late. Alas.

    HOWEVER:

The one I would not have gotten right is one I want to draw everyone's attention to.

NO. 43.  What is the economic system of the United States?

I selected None of the above because I was taught in school that we have a "mixed economy." Moreover, I don't think one can call it a communist system, nor a socialist system, nor a capitalist system. However the right answer on the test is "capitalism." I think that is wrong.

    Otherwise, it was fun.

  • I got 50, but perhaps it is easier for a Brit, especially one who deals with the US a lot.

10 of 10. Only the Paralympic question involved a guess for this Yank—well, strictly speaking, a guess of a sort; that is, I knew that all the other answers were wrong.

What on earth are the Paralympic games anyway? I thought that London hosted the Olympic Games in 2012. There was even a mildly amusing sitcom centering on preparations for the games, wasn't there? It starred Hugh Bonneville (he was what made it mildly amusing). It was shown over here a year or so ago on PBS.

At least yours was a test, the sport nonsense aside, that involved Great Britain's political and religious history and the structure of its governance. The US "test" was nothing of the sort; it was moronic propaganda for the New America. Accounting for the legitimate gripe of Brennus about that single "economic system" question, it's appalling that anyone, even a CI regular, would get less than 49 of 50.

Awesome. I got 9/10. I thought you had to be 21 to be on a jury.

  • 10 out of a possible 10

Full marks. That is terrifically British (just so long as you don't boast about it to anyone)
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.
