They got the white, male vote all locked up. It's a shame white men can't vote twice, eh?

Too bad the female, Hispanic, Black, and Asian votes are up for grabs, if not positively against the Trump ticket (mostly the latter!)

Trump is winning the Hispanic vote among older ones as they're to the far-right on immigration.

Mike Pence is a supporter of all the so called free trade agreements such as
NAFTA, GAFTA and the TTIP that are outsourcing many American Manufacturing
Jobs to Mexico and Asia and their workers are paid far less with no job
protections and Trade Unions.
No wonder foreign electronics fall apart when their guarantee expires.

Also a corporate sellout. When Indiana had its law in place that businesses could refuse service to any ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ (which as long as it's not a necessary service, is just fine), companies threatened to leave the state. So the law was rescinded.

The Indiana legislature voted convincingly (sorry, I don't recall
the exact margin, but it was substantial) to add that language
to the bill. If Pence refused to sign, he would have lost
re-election, and thousands of Indianans would have lost their
jobs, etc. Nothing would have been accomplished.

This is what troubles me as well. Also, Mike Pence supported the invasion of Iraq, which Trump was also against.

One of the things that Trump has repeatedly supported is the protection of American jobs, and I thought he was against all of those free trade agreements. But Trump recently said of Mike Pence that...."Mike Pence will fight for a safe and prosperous society." I believe that Pence may try to fight for a safe society, not obviously not a prosperous one, at least not for the regular people.

The good thing about Pence is that he's solidly pro-life, and against the militant homo agenda.

They chose him to shore up the socially "far right" vote. Insofar as Trump shapes his social policies around Pence, I think it's a good thing.

I don't think Pence is going to have much influence over the things Trump cares most about like immigration and trade, but he might be able to influence social issues that Trump barely has a solid opinion about. The choice of him as VP in itself is a sign that the campaign has decided to take the "evangelical" vote very seriously.

Clergy should keep their nose out of politics unless its an actual issue. Like, if someone must be denied Communion for pro-abortion views.
