Many conservatives were dismayed when Republicans lost control of the House of Representatives in November. Q said, “the Senate was the target” suggesting that President Trump could accomplish most of what he needs to without having his party control the House.

The Senate began the year with a bang. This week, the President sent a nineteenth wave of judicial nominations to the Senate for confirmation along with nominations for 163 other positions that are vacant. Now that Republicans have a 53-47 majority in the Senate and POTUS has fewer members of his own party who oppose him, the nominations, which do not require approval from the House, are likely to proceed much quicker.

Democrats had an energetic first week of the year, bringing up resolutions to raise taxes, increase the scope of taxpayer-funded abortion and an attempt was made was made to introduce impeachment articles against the President. The problem for Democrats is that they can do virtually nothing without the approval of the Senate. So far, none of their attempts have impacted Trump’s ability to move his own agenda forward.

The one area where the House could actually gain ground against Trump (at least in theory) is in its committees. Adam Schiff, Chair of the House Intelligence Committee has vowed to investigate the President until he proves there was collusion between him and Russia during the 2016 election. The problem is that a handful of patriotic white hats have been leaking transcripts of closed-door Congressional testimonies that undercut everything Schiff is hoping to prove.

Jeff Carlson received an unofficial transcript of Lisa Page’s testimony before Congress that allowed the public to see the inner workings between the DOJ, the FBI and the CIA as they put into motion a plan to prevent Trump from being elected.

A dossier of unverified claims about Donald Trump and his associates was assembled by former British spy Christopher Steele and used as evidence to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page and ultimately, the Trump campaign. Bruce Ohr, a former high ranking DOJ official, acted as a conduit of communication between Christopher Steele and the FBI.

Last year, Adam Schiff claimed that Ohr’s contact with the FBI began “weeks after the election and more than a month after the Court approved the initial FISA application.” Someone leaked a transcript of Bruce Ohr’s closed-door Congressional testimony to Sara Carter which revealed that, contrary to Schiff’s claim, the FBI knew about the Steele dossier (via Bruce Ohr) months before the 2016 election and before the approval of the FISA warrant.

For those who complain that no one of any consequence has been arrested, the next item may be of interest.

James Baker served as Chief Counsel for the FBI under Barack Obama. The Daily Caller obtained a copy of a letter between Jim Jordan and US Attorney John Durham. The letter quotes extensively from a transcript of Baker’s Oct. 18 closed-door testimony before the Oversight and House Judiciary Committees. Baker is under criminal investigation for leaking to the press. Jordan wanted an update on the investigation.

I’ve written previously that anyone under Congressional investigation has passed the “arrest” phase of the justice process. They have already been arrested and charged with a crime. They’re cooperating with Congressional investigators because they hope to receive a lenient sentence. In that group are Lisa Page, James Baker, Bruce Ohr, and others.

This week, someone leaked a transcript of George Populoulous’ closed-door testimony to Epoch Times reporter Ivan Pentchoukov. During his testimony, Papadopoulos revealed the name of the man he believed to be a spy working inside the Trump campaign. (The Epoch Times article doesn’t disclose that name.) The same reporter published an article based on a partial transcript of Andrew McCabe’s closed-door Congressional testimony that was provided to him.

Many people are tired of waiting for Trump to declassify docuмents related to Spygate. It seems as if the plan (at least for now) is to have the intelligence community (or perhaps Congress) leak key docuмents to trusted sources to help us see what’s happening behind the scenes.

The President just concluded a speech that made a common sense appeal to his enemies to come to the negotiating table and end the government shutdown. Trump even offered a three-year deferral on DACA. Not that it matters. He knows all too well that Nancy Peℓσѕι and Chuck Schumer will refuse his offer as long as it includes a wall. If they give him funding for the wall, it fulfills one of his only outstanding campaign promises from 2016. With the 2020 campaign approaching, that’s a moral victory they can’t afford to give him. So the shutdown is likely to continue. As it does, the self-serving motives of his enemies are being exposed a little more each day.

Trump is winning bigly. And he’s doing it with just the Senate.
