    • I serendipitously came across the most interesting book I think I have ever read--save the Bible  (haven't finished but still can say that). It is called By the People by Charles Murray

    All Americans should read this book about how gov regulators make certain non-crime things We the Sheeple do into crimes. I don't have the book with me but will have more info tomorrow.

    I have been unconsciously searching for this book for decades. I have been the victim of out of control, illogical, tyrannical government. The damage the gov did to my family is no small thing.

    a country is only as good as how it treats the least of its people.. and ALL Americans should know just how the gov does treat the least of its people... or anyone else who may not readily seem to qualify for that category.

    no wonder Jesus said that few will make it to Heaven... I mean... you read the stories in that book... unbelievable... that they happen in this so-called great country (it is great, to some extent, in some ways... but it is not terribly great to those of us who have been victims of... the stupidity... the tyranny)

    • does anyone read books around here?

    well, anyway, this book is really good in some places but in other places of the book you get bogged down in what I call paragraph-long sentences with words not everyone u/stands.. Now, I consider myself very educated (some college but mostly teach myself, never read fiction) so this is not MY... problem..

    but that said, there is a lot there that should be read by all of us... and i mean all of us .. unless you just like ignorance? yes, ignorance can be quite blissful... but it can bite you in the...

    when the monster Saddam was in power people were "disappearing" and being tortured in prisons, some to the point of death

    not knowing about that or not worrying about caused many to "disappear"

    it pays to be informed. our country doesn't PHYSICALLY torture people but mentally... not a problem..
