    • Trump never put his left hand on the Bible when he took the oath of office.
    What does that mean, legally as well as the signal he’s sending?

    • The U.S. Constitution does not mention any "book" being required for the administration of the oath of office for a president, simply that the oath be taken (Article II Section 1).  John Quincy Adams placed his hand on a book of law (representative of the constitution) when he took the oath.  When Lyndon Johnson was sworn in after the assignation of President Kennedy he placed his hand on President Kennedy's Missal.

    • And even if he had put his hand on the Bible, it would have been the King James Version, which is not the Bible either.

    • Yeah, it's hard to say.  It could just be that he wasn't paying attention and forgot, but since Melania was holding them you'd think she might have brought his attention to it.  Or there could have been something more sinister.  There's credible information (posted by Mark) that Trump had converted to Judaism, and so he'd not want to put his hand on a Bible that included a "New Testament".

    It also reminds me a bit of the "Astronauts Gone Wild" scenes (by Sibrel) where they refused to swear on a Bible they'd been to the moon, and Buzz actually punched Sibrel (that was actually funny and Sibrel kindof had it coming), but I did wonder about it.  So, most of the astronauts are docuмented Freemasons, so are they Masons who still believe in the Bible sincerely, or they believe but reject it and yet are worried that if they lie on a Bible they'd be punished by God, or whether they don't want to swear on it because they despite the Bible.  Not sure why they'd refuse to just put their hand on it and lie.

    He got 2 to swear on the Bible, but they said they didn't believe in it, and Sibrel kept adding more things to swear by, which just tested their patience and made him look like some nut.

    • Strange "Black Hand" from Melania.  I'm not buying the "cope" that this was just the effect of shadow ... doesn't look right.  Plus the strange way the excessively-wide-brimmed hat also covers here eyes.  Definitely looks spooky.
