  • Texas governor defies Supreme Court ruling, continues to fortify border with razor wire | WLUK (fox11online.com)

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is pushing back and adding more razor wire to the border fence after Monday's Supreme Court ruling that the border patrol can remove the wire along the southern border.

  • When the feds show up to take down the wire, I'd like to see Texas arrest the feds ("destroying state property" or "abetting illegal immigration"). Toss the feds in jail. Let's see how that plays out.

There have been some "home rule" sheriffs who have threatened to arrest ATF agents who attempt to enforce certain fed firearms laws. In those counties the feds ceased and desisted rather than play out the game. The threats were enough to see the feds back off.

I'd like to see the game played out.

  • According to Congresswoman Escobar, "“There is nothing in the constitution that would allow a state to take on a federal role in the way Greg Abbott has,” said Escobar."

Gov. Abott views it differently, citing the federal government's failure under Article IV, Section 4 as well as a state's right to defend itself under Article I, Section 10. Note that in the letter pasted below dated today, he's also declared an invasion.

As of this evening so far, the governors of Florida, Montana, Oklahoma, and South Dakota have sided with Abbott. (https://twitter.com/HeatherScottID/status/1750300891062890812 )

Meanwhile, here's a casual pic of the gals (not counting Roberts) in their nice official robes. Then again, the ruling was only on a technicality of whether the feds could clip the razor wire as per a stay of a lower court ruling, not venturing into a constitutional crisis just yet....

Let nothing disturb you, let nothing frighten you, all things pass away: God never changes. Patience obtains all things. He who has God finds he lacks nothing; God alone suffices. - St. Teresa of Jesus

  • Actually, the Supreme Court is in violation of enabling and assisting  terrorists who are crossing our boarders  to invade our country to murder American citizens.  It’s not just poor immigrants crossing the boarder.  Also, the Supreme Court is enabling child sex trafficking.  Well done, dumb Vatican II Catholics of Mr. Bergolio.

  • SAN DIEGO (Border Report) — About 150 migrants from countries such as Somalia, India, and Pakistan have been gathering on U.S. soil between two border barriers about a mile and a half west of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Noor, a migrant from Somalia, said he and fellow migrants had been there for five days, some longer.

( Many are hostile towards Christians.)

Latest update. Latest update:We continue to advise do not travel to Somalia. Terrorist attacks continue to occur. If you're in Somalia, leave as soon as possible.Jan 17, 2024

As would I.  I just wonder whether Abbott will go that far.

Thanks for the clarification on the bolded.  Good to know.

This is all very interesting.  Maybe Abott will go "that far".

  • So, with Roberts, the five female Supreme Court Justices issued this perverse ruling.  Yet another reason why women should not be in any positions of decision-making, since they decide based on emotion.  These were undoubtedly swayed by the drowning story and overall plight of illegals to ignore the rule of law and the Constitution.  Barrett has been unmitigated disaster on several votes now.  Thanks, Trump.

  • It is incredible what the commies in charge are doing with absolute impunity with so many crimes going on these days, the border is just another blatant crime. It's as if they're saying "ha ha, look at what we're doing now." To the point that the Supreme Court won't do anything to stop it.

I just saw this new flash:
Convoy of Truckers Heading Toward Texas Border

A convoy of trucks, cars and recreational vehicles is heading to the border for a series of rallies from California to Eagle Pass, Texas.

Noel Roberts, of Take Our Border Back, said the rallies are peaceful protests meant to send a message to lawmakers that Americans are fed up with the illegal alien invasion....

"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

The Highest Principle in the Church: "We are first of all under obedience to God, and only then under obedience to man" - Fr. Hesse

  • Texas needs to secede already.  If it were a country, it would have the 8th largest economy in the world.

YES BUT…    Texas is hanging by a demographic thread.  Urban v. Rural. White + Asian (mostly staunchly anti-Communist Vietnamese) v. the others. Texans v. Californicators.

Exactly.  I refuse to have female doctors for this very reason.

  • Have we ever had in America a completely conservative female judge, that is my question?  Yeah, Trump totally dropped the ball on that one.  I guess he was listening to Barr.  Amy Barret, what a disgrace.
