    • I saw on TV earlier

    Claire McKaskill (spelling), a congressperson who said that the new tax bill (senate or house, don't know) takes $$$ from Medicaid and/or medicare

    I'm thinking HUH?

    a person from the pro tax reform side said there is no cut to those programs.

    she offered NO proof to refute that

    but repeated the meme that the tax bill will take from those programs

    the other guy said NO it won't.

    she refused to read directly from the bill anything that would remotely support her lying contention.

    Now, true, the other guy didn't exactly read from the bill (that i saw) either. I mean... you wonder..

    one thing we do not wonder about: why Congress has something like a 18% approval rating...

    That said, I like the House Tax Reform bill... um... as much as i know about it anyhow...  which

    um.... may not be much?

    they keep us in the dark a lot, it seems

    but then again, maybe it is on the I-net and I just haven't gone to the site where i can read it (the bill or bills)

    • McCaskill and Co. know the low-info voters will not check out what she is saying, will not delve deeply into any given issue

    The liberals in DC know that lies work

    They know that just saying something makes it seem true

    They know there are more low-info voters than not


    they know they can get away with it

    Don't be a low-info voter! It's hard enough to figure out what the whole truth is in DC vis a vis any given issue. but when you don't get even 10% of the story because you "dont watch news"... uh......

    you will end up letting "them"... OK, no crude terminology

    they will end up getting you... shafting you, shall we say

    • The whole social security Medicare and Medicaid are rip offs.   People on Medicaid get everything for free and most never paid in.  People work their whole lives bec Medicare and pay for suplement.

    • Both parties are corrupt. 
    We should establish a Catholic political party. That will never happen.  Even pro life groups in USA are being taken over by greedy communists.

    haven't heard about the commies and pro life folks but... hmmmm
    you don't see many Catholics in Congress, strangely. I don't even think they make up 25% or even 15% of congresspersons even though we avg that percentage nationwide (in population numbers)

    hence the low approval rating!

    maybe we would do much better if there were more Catholics, even wimpy catholics there
