I read an article in the paper yesterday and this morning on this subject.  Of course, both articles were written by socialists (not real journalists) and therefore were blatantly biased against Franco.  I don't know enough (nor care, for that matter) of what goes on in socialist Spain, but it was plain to see that the socialist, after all these years, still have what amounts to "butt-hurt".  It also goes to show how strong symbolism is, as the mere location of his burial was too much for them to handle.  His very removal itself was a form of symbolism to the socialists.

So where is Juan Carlos?  He was trained by Franco to take over as King and keep Spain anti-Communist.  Was just a traitor, though.

His son, King Felipe VI, is no better.

"... still have what amounts to "butt-hurt"."

Thank you for your scholarly use of this meaningful, millennial term :farmer:

A true mystery, still to this day -- the question of whether or not Juan Carlos (18 at the time), killed his younger 14 year old brother Alfonso with a shot from a revolver into the forehead!  Some incredible old film footage seen here: https://magazine.trueroyalty.tv/2019/08/06/did-a-future-king-kill-his-brother/
