  • The life you save may be your own

when you fight gov oppression (assuming you "win" in some way or another), you keep others from losing to the gov... and etc..

when people are oppressed by the gov (being too powerful, being able to violate the Constitution, while the little people cannot...)

    they become depressed
    hopeless
    want to die

Is that the kind of neighbor you want?

I believe every other person (or virtually every person?) in the US has been the victim of tyrannical govt some way or another. So we have become a nation of depressed persons, generally speaking, wary of neighbor, wary of government.

Some nation we have become. When people are depressed and nearly in despair, well, how can they be a productive, contributing member of society? When they live in fear of what the govt will do to them next (ridiculous fines for "violating" some STUPID regulation that is unCosntitutional anywayre, etc...)

well, this country has a LONG way to go in being great again.. I appreciate what Trump is doing toward that end, but we ALL have to do something.. or it won't work

  • The news is hyper focused on Trump's problems and the corruption in the D party, specifically how the Ds apparently broke the law to get Trump... to help Ms Thang get elected and etc...

but who is focused on We the Little People and our problems facing HUGE governmental intrusion and oppression?

    we can't afford the lawyers

There should be a populist news show...

  • @ graceseeker:

Thomas Jefferson once said, "Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just."

Of course, he wasn't Catholic, that I know of.

Here's a Catholic take on the question:

"Let us thank God for having called us to His holy faith. It is a great gift, and the number of those who thank God for it is small."

thanks. I don't have time to read all of that at this time but have copied it to read later.
Jefferson wasn't Catholic and unfortunately there weren't many Catholics in on creating our new govt but they did fairly well just the same. I like how they said all are created equal by God. Too bad nobody really believes that (in practice) but at least it is there in black & white... sigh
anyway, I guess I will get back to you after reading that.. God bless
