Trump is not a deep thinker. There is no moral or logical consistency to any of his viewpoints. It's whatever appeals
to his narcissism or gains him more money and status.
He knew that there was a huge swath of White Christian Americans desperate to have someone who shared their
alarm over the rapid demographic changes. Trump seized upon that panic to catapult himself, his brand, to become
president.
Of course, he had to walk a fine line between pretending to do something whilst not focusing attention on the true culprits behind the ethnic displacement of Whites.
I imagine American and European politics along the lines of a big corporation. In any corporation there are any number of ruthlessly ambitious executives who want to be the CEO. The board of directors might have their personal favorites but for the most part let their underlings fight it out and prove themselves worthy.
Did Al Gore want to be president? You better believe he did. At the end of the day however he and Bush jr. still serve the same board of directors despite their conflicting personal goals.
I recall all the mud slinging between Democrat and Republican candidates over the decades. Yet we witness how
Bush, the Obamas, Clintons, Romney, McCain, Bidens are all best of buddies when the charade is over. It's back to
preparing the world for the antichrist and they do it with a commitment and enthusiasm which breathtaking.
