According to UN projections, Sweden will be a much poorer country by 2030, much worse than what anyone in the Swedish government indicates.

The UN report HDI (Human Development Index) predicts a significant decrease in Swedish prosperity, unlike their Nordic neighbors, who will retain their top positions and even strengthen them globally in the long run.

In 2010 Sweden had the 15th place in the HDI rankings but according to UN forecasts, Sweden will be #25 in 2015, and in 2030 on the 45th place.

Sweden is one of few countries with such a sharp deterioration from what it had in 2010.

Finland demonstrates one of the world's best school systems, while the Swedish school have lost competitiveness.

Fewer ends up on welfare dependency in their Nordic neighboring countries while Sweden continues to have a greater amount of family households forced to live on welfare, which are a couple factors causing the dropped global competitiveness.

Negative developments, or rather liquidations can be exemplified by Orrefors Kosta Boda, which in 1992 had 940 employees in Sweden and was a profitable industry. Today less than 100 remain in the company after further cost reductions and adaptations in order to meet global competition.

Most of today's less developed countries such as Cuba, Mexico, the Baltic countries and Bulgaria according to the 2030 UN report will be passing Sweden in prosperity.

Even Greece, which today is more or less bankrupt, but will be on 13th place by 2030.

Sweden's leftist establishment and media believe a cornerstone of their perfect society is multiculturalism: large scale immigration from some of the poorest, most backward nations on earth. Swedes who disagree with that plan risk being labeled racist, fascist, even nαzι.

What I've heard (and had some limited experience) is that in Europe, the "center-right" is about where the U.S. left is, while the "left" in Europe is unabashed communist.

If this is an accurate description, then this would answer your question.

It depends on the country at hand...Usually what the media describes a far right, like the national front in France, UKIP in Britain, Lega Nord in Italy, they are more conservative then the US Repulbican party - although on social issues there views might be diverse.  Then the center-right parties are pretty much liberal but there not complete idiots, so liberalism but sometimes (very rarely) they use common sense, and that depends on the country too - take Britain for example - the UK conservative party, it is officially about the same as the US Democrats but there are people in the party that oppose abortion, gαy rights, high taxes etc...

That's OK...the US will be a 3rd world country by the end of Obama's presidency. Now he's allowing thousands of Haitians to come in without Visa's and he is sending non US citizens with Ebola to the US for treatment. Obama's gift to the US will be turning this into a 3rd world country. He is already about half to three quarters of the way there now!

I'm with you 100 percent on this matter.

Have you been there? I haven't, but every Finn I've ever met has been a winner. What's more, the country has a splendid opera company and several world-class orchestras for those, like me, interested in such things.

Best of all, the Jєωs, who constitute well under 1 percent of the population, own some of the media but by no means all. Such a situation is far from ideal, needless to say, but it is about the best that can be hoped for in any country where properly functioning indoor plumbing is to be found.
