• 'Ring of steel' : Dan’s great wall of Melbourne goes up.   There’s neither cement nor razor wire, but Daniel Andrews has built his very own wall around 5.2 million Melburnians.

VICTORIA, Australia, September 17, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — A Victoria Police not-for-profit organization is selling masksemblazoned with the symbol of the Freemasons.

“The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation perpetuates the memory of members of the Victoria Police who have died in the line of duty through the support of worthwhile community projects within Victoria,” their website explains.

The Freemasons Foundation Victoria is likewise listed first on The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation website as one of their “major partners.”

Among the board members of the The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation is Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Luke Cornelius

Cornelius has played a conspicuous role as one of the spokespeople for the heavy-handed policing in Victoria amid a draconian lockdown regime. Herecently described anti-lockdown protestorsas “selfish,” “boofheads,” and “bats***t crazy.” Mainstream Australian media celebrated Cornelius’ comments, describing them as a “stunning take-down of the ‘tin foil hat brigade.’”
In recent weeks Victoria Police have been gaining worldwide attention for their heavy-handed treatment of those not complying with lockdown restrictions. Videos which have gone “viral” online on social media in recent weeks include Victoria Police arresting a pregnant woman in her own homefor the “crime” of promoting an anti-lockdown event; Victoria Police smashing the door down of a man’s home and arresting him for allegedly promoting anti-lockdown events online; and a video which shows a young woman being forced to the ground by a large, male police officer for the “crime” of not wearing a mask in public.

This past weekend, Victoria’s senior politician, State Premier Daniel Andrews, said that “all this can be avoided if people don't protest” coronavirus restrictions in response to questions about video of police first knocking down a mentally ill man with their vehicle and subsequently stomping on his head. An official police statement described the stomp as “inappropriate use of force” and the “use of force in using a police vehicle” as “concerning.”

The man had to be put in a medically induced coma. His family says they will pursue legal action against the police.
Also this past weekend, according to reports in Australian media, almost 200 people were fined and 74 arrested at events protesting the Victoria coronavirus restrictions, with multiple videos of dramatic arrests posted online.

Victoria currently has one of the strictest coronavirus lockdownsanywhere in the world, with daily curfews and mandatory mask wearing in public. People are severely restricted in where they can go and what they can do.

Thirteen top Australian doctors recently urged Premier Dan Andrews to end what they denounced as an “unjustifiable” state of emergency.
Last month Victoria police chief commissioner Shane Patton was unapologetic as he explained that police had in some instances been smashing car windows due to people inside the cars not cooperating with police or following the government’s coronavirus restrictions.

The Victoria Police have received further recent media attention due to a Royal Commission investigation into the Management of Public Informants which has identified 124 criminal convictions in Victoria as “tainted” due to the police using evidence given to them by barrister Nicola Gobbo about her own clients. Victoria Police have issued an apology and admitted that they were “profoundly wrong” to allow Gobbo to inform on her own clients.

Victoria Police also played a crucial role in the conviction and imprisonment of Cardinal George Pell for more than a year beforehis unanimous acquittalby the Australian High Court in April.

The charges were originally laid after an Australian police investigation, code-named “Operation Tethering,” actively sought evidence that Pell committed sex crimes, even though no complaint had been made against him. A number of men came forward with stories; all but one were dismissed.

Ultimately, only one man, known as “Witness J,” testified against Pell. The other former choir boy named in the charges died before the case came to trial, but before he died he told his mother that the abuse never took place.

Last year an Australian-based Catholic priest publicly admitted to having been a Freemason for more than a decade. Father Kerry Costigan also claimed to have a letter from the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, giving permission for Catholics to become Masons. “This permission was said to be based on the erroneous conclusion that 'Australian' Freemasonry is somehow different from any other form of Freemasonry,” Kathy Clubb wrote in a December 2019 article re-printed on LifeSiteNews.

The Catholic Church has repeatedly and authoritatively condemned Freemasonry for almost 300 years, dating from Pope Clement XII’s 1738 papal bull In Eminenti.
In his 1884 encyclical Humanum Genus, His Holiness Pope Leo XIII described Freemasonry as the chief organizing force of the “partisans of evil” in society.

    Quote
At this period, however, the partisans of evil [seem] to be combining together, and to be struggling with united vehemence, led on or assisted by that strongly organized and widespread association called the Freemasons. No longer making any secret of their purposes, they are now boldly rising up against God Himself. They are planning the destruction of holy Church publicly and openly, and this with the set purpose of utterly despoiling the nations of Christendom, if it were possible, of the blessings obtained for us through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Lamenting these evils, We are constrained by the charity which urges Our heart to cry out often to God: “For lo, Thy enemies have made a noise; and they that hate Thee have lifted up the head. They have taken a malicious counsel against Thy people, and they have consulted against Thy saints. They have said, ‘come, and let us destroy them, so that they be not a nation.’”

  • Stalinist Legislation  (Click)

Victoria’s new ‘Stalinist’ legislation goes against all civil liberties

    20/09/2020|8min

Sky News host Rowan Dean says the Victorian government’s new “Stalinist” bill will give the same people who ruined hotel quarantine sweeping and unprecedented policing powers. The Andrews government is expected to introduce the COVID-19 Omnibus Measures Amendment Bill which endows particular public servants with the powers of an ‘authorised officer’ to enforce public health interventions. The bill – which will last until April 2021 – gives officers the power to detain people whom they perceive to be a high risk person (either with COVID-19 or a close contact) and who refuses to comply with health directives. Mr Dean said the “mind boggles” at these new sweeping authoritarian powers, especially given that the bill entitles the same public servants who failed with hotel quarantine “the powers to run around arresting people”. “This is what happens when you have Lefty lunatics running your government and riddled throughout your bureaucracy; this is what you get, disaster after disaster”. Sky News host James Morrow said it was by no means an exaggeration to label the new bill as an “absolutely Stalinist piece of legislation”. “It’s shocking that in the wokest, most Left leaning state in Australia, you would have this sort of legislation which goes against all civil liberties, against all due process,” he said.

Australia will run out of homegrown rice by Christmas, which may help to explain why their police are kettling people at farmers markets (which clearly doesn't help social distancing) and becoming more violent in general -- if the state expects food shortages, they must bolster the police presence and acclimate people to increased totalitarianism, particularly around food.  They are preparing -- are you?  Start growing food today.

It is extremely interesting to me that the people suffering the most are the ones who are the most liberal, and they are being tortured by the people they chose to rule them. Much like the way people in hell will be tormented by the other people there. That seems to be what is happening in Melbourne now.

‘It is…a police state’: Australia’s crackdown on freedoms
during COVID similar to 1960s Berlin

'I do feel like Melbourne has been a test case to see how you can control population,' Dr. Bella d’Abrera said.

    Tue Sep 22, 2020 - 4:07 pm EST

September 22, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – It’s truly shocking to see what’s going on in Australia lately. Earlier this month, police in Victoria entered the home of a pregnant woman and arrested her right in front of her kids because she committed the grave “crime” of promoting on Facebook an anti-lockdown event.
Not long after that, a 27-year-old man — also living in Victoria — was arrested for spreading information about anti-lockdown events as well. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

On my podcast today, Dr. Bella d’Abrera, the Director of Foundations of Western Civilization Program at the Institute of Public Affairs in Melbourne, told me that the crushing, anti-freedom measures taken by the Victorian government during COVID-19 are reminiscent of 1960s Berlin, and that they are likely being implemented as a sort of test case to see how to control the population.

"I can't believe the police state that I've woken up in…I feel like I've woken up in 1961 on the wrong side of Berlin,” she said. “The premier, who is a socialist and a liar and corrupt, is…using communist language…[He’s] channeling 1960s Berlin.”

“I do feel like Melbourne has been a test run and a test case to see how you can control population and how you can manipulate population.”

Dr. d’Abrera was not alone in calling out the Victorian government’s authoritarian behavior. Mr. John Macaulay, a businessman who also joined us during the podcast today, echoed her sentiments.

    U.S. Canada World Catholic
John told me he was on a simple walk around town the other day just like he does every evening but was stopped by police who demanded to know what he was doing and who he was.

“The moment the police can stop, question, and detain people who are otherwise law-abiding citizens is very much proof-positive that the state of Victoria here in the south of Australia is a police state. It's not becoming one. It is already a police state,” he said.

These aren’t the only examples of the Victorian government taking extreme measures during the coronavirus. There is also a limit on how far you can travel from your home. And government officials have been seen surveilling priests who say private masses.

Shockingly, Dr. d’Abrera said, many Australians think this is all smart and sound policy that is helping limit the spread of COVID-19. She said that she’s deeply troubled by it all, especially by the suicides and jobs lost.

“We really have to hope that Christ is going to intervene at some point…because that's the only thing that can get you through this…when it does get back to normal, we [need to] make sure this doesn't happen again.”

John agreed. He told me that the recovery process is, in reality, an intergenerational project that will "take generations across the entire economy to rehabilitate the destruction that has befallen us.”

I always think these tearjerkers are the most effective weapon of the devil.

Better start realizing that no country of this world is really home. Even if it's better than strange countries.
Men are not bound, or able to read hearts; but when they see that someone is a heretic by his external works, they judge him to be a heretic pure and simple ... Jerome points this out. (St. Robert Bellarmine)

  • The ironic thing here is Australia was founded as a penal colony populated with a bunch of criminals and their descendants who made a living out of defying the laws of the Crown. Now they, of all people, have become a bunch of obedient little sheep letting a few squirrel y cops enforcing total bs laws even to the effect on their own pregnant women. It's quite disgusting from an American POV. even though our time is coming as well, but Americans by their nature are fiercely independent and will eventually challenge the state if they start coming to our houses and carting off our pregnant mothers.

At least I would hope so.

But I do see Australia and NZ as becoming a template for draconian laws on what they can get away with in Anglo countries.

Which is just about anything since they've become nothing but a sanitized and feminized version of their former selves.

Good luck in your servitude commonwealths.

  • Unfortunately alaric you are absolutely correct, among Anglos some do fight back but the population as a whole believes in being "proper". Minorities such as Aborigines, Pacific Islanders, Lebanese, and Muslims in general will fight back, hence the police will seek to avoid them.
